Thief Talent, Bowman Heart: Chapter 9

It’s been a LONG time since I did this. I guess I’m finally going to continue this series
So If you don’t remember, read my previous ones.

~ Chapter 9 –
Traveling to Zipangu was not going to be easy. It was on a completly
diffrent continent. I asked Raeken how we were going to get there.
He said travel by boat.

Me: So do we have to get on board the Orbis Ship?

Raeken: Yeah. But no one will take us to Zipangu.
No one ever goes there. It’s a very dangerous town.

Me: Really?

Athena: Yeah, It’s really far away too. We’re going
to have a tough time convincing them to take us
to Zipangu.

Me: So what should we do?

Raeken: Help the owner of the ship in some way
and maybe he’ll help us back.

Me: That sounds kinda stupid…

Raeken: It’s the only thing we can do.

Climbing all the way to Orbis Tower was such a drag. Getting
down was hard enough. Now we have to go all the way up.
The ice and fire sentienels didn’t stand a chance. It wasn’t
fair though. Every time I tried to kill one, Athena would
shoot an arrow bomb before I could. Raeken would cast
lighting to shoot everything around me. It wasn’t fair!

The only thing they didn’t kill before I did were sentinels.
I was running faster than usual. Stronger too. In a flash,
I killed every single one on a floor.

Me: Why am I suddenly so strong…and fast?

Athena: Cause your half demon and that you’re
part of the…never mind.

Me: Part of the what?

Before Athena could reply me, Raeken interupted me. He
was talking about our scrolled gloves and weapons. Athena
was distracted and kept talking to Raeken. It was like Raeken
interupted me in a desperate attempt for Athena not to
answer my question. She never answered me all the way to
the top of the tower. So mom probaly didn’t want to tell
me about it.

We finally reached Orbis and we headed for the station.
The ticket booth was large. Decorated with 2 fake white
feathers on the side of the booth.

Me: Uh….one ticket to….Zipangu please?

Ticket Booth person: Okay that will be 5,000….wait…
what did you say?!

Me: A ticket to….uh Zipangu?

Ticket Booth person: Haven’t you heard of the dangerous
rumors there. No one ever travels there. It’s a gang
infested town full of thiefs and crooks and gang wars.

Raeken: We really need to go. Alvis should of sent
you a letter. We have something important to do there.

Ticket Booth person: Well…yes he did send us a letter…but
we don’t have an extra ship…and we can’t just take 3 people
to Zipangu and use up one of our ships. You understand right?

Athena: This is a request from Alvis, the head mage, and
me, Athena, one of the 4 leaders of Victoria Island. Please,
just this once. We’ll find our way back.

Ticket Booth person: Well…I guess. We actually do have
an extra boat. But it’s kinda small. Do you mind?

All three of us: Nah.

We followed her inside the ticket booth. It was a long booth.
They had boats stored in this ticket booth. Yet all were broken
and destroyed. She led us to the end of the booth. There
was only one boat there and I couldn’t believe my eyes.

The boat…was….so….so….SMALL!!! It could barely hold 3 of us.

Ticket Booth Person: We’ll let you have this boat for free. It’s the
only one not destoryed from the trip to Zipangu.

Me: How did those other boats get destroyed?

Ticket Booth Person: Deep in the ocean, there is a place named
Aqua Road. There are tons of sharks residing in the ocean. Also,
the legendary giant fish, Pianus is still alive. The pianus came
and killed many of the sailors. So you guys shouldn’t go to Zipangu.

We took her warning into consideration and then she left us alone.
We took it into consideration for about 10 seconds. Once she left,
we decided to go. We weren’t scared. If there was trouble, Raeken
could teleport us back to Orbis any time. My mom, Athena, is like
the legendary archer! And with my enhanced strength and speed,
I doubt anything bad could happen.

We had to be careful not to break the boat. Well It was more like
a canoe. Luckily, the wood was very sturdy and the canoe was
well built. It wouldn’t sink until a shark bit through it a couple times.
The waves weren’t very treacherous. It was smooth sailing. I got
a little scared when we were in the middle of the ocean. I was afraid
of sinking and getting attacked by sharks, but I had to be brave.
There was no turning back now.

We looked at our map. There should be a lighthouse here somewhere.
Then we have to go north of the lighthouse and we should arrive at
Zipangu. The lighthouse was spotted. It was easy to find. We paddled
our way over to the lighthouse, but the waves seemed to push us back.
Suddenly I got an idea. A stupid one, but It might just work. I took out
my Maple Soul Searcher and shot the best arrow bomb I ever shot at the
waves behind us. A huge explosion was seen and the waves were now
facing at us. It was a tidal wave.

Athena: Tai, you dumb@ss!
Raeken: I could of just used Light Miracle to make the boat go faster!
Me: Oh…oh well, enjoy the splash!

The waves crashed down to us hard. The boat was durable though. It didn’t
break or seperate from us. We held tightly to the boat, not daring to let go.
The tidal wave was over and we were swept away to the lighthouse. We
were really soaked.

Athena: What has your father taught you all these years?!
Me: Archery…that’s about it.
Athena: He should of taught you something called “common sense”.
Raeken: Speaking of which, I think I can use light miracle to make
this boat bigger. Let me try.

A bright light appeared as Raeken murmured the words to activate
the spell. The boat was radiating with the same light. In a matter
of seconds, the boat grew into a cruise ship!

Raeken: Wow…It actually worked!
Me: It should be called Heavy Miracle…get it??
Athena: You’re not funny…
Me: Shut up mom…

After our clothes dried up a little bit and we caught some fish to eat, we
got on board the cruise ship and headed to Zipangu. The waves were
kind to us for a while. But…I just got fiercer as we got closer to Zipangu.
I saw shadowy figures under the water. There were Sharks! These weren’t
normal sharks. They had much sharper jaws, and they could jump…high!
They jumped on board. They didn’t even struggle for water. They hopped at
right at us!

Raeken threw a Thunder Spear at one of the Shark’s eye. Gory much…but
It worked. The shark screamed in pain and then fainted.Athena shot a dozen
of arrow bombs. So did I. None of the sharks could touch me. I was a lot faster
than before. I didn’t waste much of my arrows. I was confident enough to handle
the sharks with just my fruit knife. I cut all the sharks in many diffrent places, trying
to see where their weak point was. I found it. It was the stomach.

We all aimed at the shark’s stomachs. Even a whole shark gang couldn’t ambush us.
They groaned loud with disgust and forfeited and ran away.

Me: We sure showed them!
Raeken: Yeah!
Athena: Hey look, I see Zipangu right now!

We all saw it. It was a town with lots of lights. It looked very foreign
and cool looking, except for the fact It was infested with gansters,
criminals, and outlaws. Athena polited the cruise ship to nearby harbor as
we got ready to board off the cruise and enter Zipangu.
