Thief Talent, Bowman Heart: Chapter 10

~ Chapter 10 – Serious Trouble
Zipangu was really big. Too bad It was stained with garbage and blood
on the streets. It gave me the creeps. Everything was torn and
broken. It was like a ghost town in the morning, but probaly in the night,
it was packed.

Me: Where do we get 1 mil and a bottle of pheonix blood?

Athena: Shut up stupid!

Raeken: Too late…

A gang came out of a nearby pub. They were all dressed in torn
clothes holding steel pipes and red bricks. Except for one who
had a broken scimitar. Since he was dressed in a white kendo
robe, he must of been the leader.

Gang Leader: I heard something about money from that
little runt. Fork it over!

Without plan or thought, they charged at us like wild
untrained chimpanzees! “Be back in a flash.” I
wasn’t going to let Athena or Raeken hog all the glory.
I decided to try one of my new tricks I learned from
the Dark Lord. I charged at the whole team by myself.
I swung out my fruit knife and It transformed into a
giant sharp blade. I cut through them, leaving no
scars not put in there rightful place.

They were persistent though. They kept getting up,
trying to do a sneak attack. The leader almost sliced me
up, but I was too fast for him and I cut him up nice. In the end,
the pain spread through all over their body and they moaned
with pain and shame.

Athena: Wow…good job. That move before, It was Assulter
wasn’t it? Anyway…I told you to shut up! Don’t talk about
money okay!

Me: You just talked about it right now!

Raeken: Stop fighting. Let’s ask these guys where we can
get some money.

Gang Leader: What? Are you guys part of some gang?

Me: Um…er well we got this connection with the boss of
this town. We were part of his gang. So we…hey
we don’t have to tell you anything!

Athena: ….yeah, now leave us alone!

Gang Leader: Wait! Why did you quit Eziko’s gang for?
You must of had some bloody conflicts. He’s never
going to let you in. We’ll help you get in as long as
you give us some of the cash they got.

Me: Or maybe you’re going to help us before we kill you!

Gang Leader: Man, you’re one freaky boy…..okay
we’ll help you. Just don’t tell anyone we lost to you
or our reputation will go way down!

Me: Fine.

We followed him into a dark cellar in an alley. He
knocked on the door twice and than pushed the door.
It was a really weak door, but you still couldn’t open
it without falling into so many traps. There were
lots of traps there. There was an anvil on the ceiling
ready to be dropped if something fishy happened and
there were spikes on the floor that were so small, but
so sharp. Of course, they led us through a safe hidden
path and into their hideout. Man, tricking them in helping
us was even easier then fighting them.

Their hideout was actually pretty cool. It wasn’t really broken
or anything. There were lots of beds, food, and treasures
there. We spent most of our time talking about how to get into
the Eziko’s lair secretly, but as we talked, he started talking about
themselves. They weren’t really that bad people. They were just
poor and needed some money. They said they want to make enough
money to buy a ship and someday sail to Orbis and head to Victoria
Island and live there.

They didn’t even look like gansters too. Just some poor desperate
people looking for money. They asked lots of questions. Like
why did we come here for, or why I was so strong. We didn’t
really answer them. We just listened and said “yeah”. They got
annoyed for not answering their questions and went back to
plan making. They made many plans, but they all sucked. Until,
we combined all of them to make a good plan.

The next day, we got everything ready. We stole from some local
gangs. We shared with the gang we were working with. With the money
we got, we bought 2 tuxedos, and a dress, to dress up for
Eziko’s upcoming party. They had the rest of the materials, so the plan
was all set and ready.

We went to the edge of town to a large mansion where we saw many
other gangs. Almost no one was invited to Eziko’s parties, so they didn’t
want to screw up and cause a fuss. To tell the truth, we weren’t invited.
The first step in the plan was to wait for everyone to get in. At the very
end we would knock out the two bodyguards in the entrance and pull them
away and sneak in.

While we waited, I complained about the stupid looking tuxedo. It
made me feel wierd and itchy, but we were going to have to blend in.
The gang was in standby, ready to act once we got inside. After
an hour of wait, everyone entered. There was five minutes left before
the door to the mansion would be closed. Those bodyguards looked tough,
so we didn’t take them lightly.

We walked through the entrance and obviousily, the 2 bodyguards asked
us for our invitations. The door was closed inside, so there was no witnesses.
When we were sure no one was around us, we got into action. I quickly double
stabbed one of the bodyguards while Raeken did the finishing blow by slashing
a thunder spear at him. We didn’t kill him, but he was probaly to injured to move
for a long time. The other bodyguard grabbed me and tried to choke me. He was
strong, and for a second there I thought was going to die, but Athena thrusted
her bow at his stomach and he released me. Before he could cough from the pain
Athena shot an arrow at one of the pressure points. He fell like the other one.
Not dead, but he collasped.

It was just midnight, so we were just in time. We opened another set of large
doors followed by a large corridor with many chandilliers. We opened the door,
expecting see Ezuki make a speech and lots of food around, but It was diffrent.
When we opened the door, at least 20 dozens of gangs staring at us, with
weapons in their hands. Ezuki’s followers were there too. They caught the gang
we teamed up with before. They lied there unconscious. The door behind us closed.
We were led right into a trap. I couldn’t understand why Eziko, the top guy in
Zipangu, would do all this just to catch some nameless intruders…well besides Athena.
I understood right away why when a dark figure approached to me called “Dark Lord”.
