Ludibrium, Stage 01a

As I emerged through the huge wooden door, I griped my Zard closer at the site. There were multiple dozen people already here! They were all talking within groups and were all different classes. I was approached by a mage and 4 other people almost imediatly.
“Hey, you’re not here for the Alishar hunt are you?” He asked, noting the groups of other people.

“A-actually I am, but you can’t tell me that everyone else is here for that too?” I asked, stunned at the number of people. To me it seemed like an annual hunt of sorts. Where multiple people chased down a helpless animal.

“Sadly they are, but most will die inside” He replyed grimly, bowing his head slightly.

“Die? So this isnt for the kind of heart is it.” I said back to him, growing ever more irritated.

“Thats aside from the point, are you here for Alishar or not?” He asked, obviously a little annoyed with my questions. I doubted this was his first time trying.

“Yes, yes I am. But how do I get in?” I asked looking around.

“Thats where the party comes in.” In time to answer his question, a guard walked onto an overhang directly above us.

“Welcome all challengers, knights of brave, wizards of lore, Thieves of dark, one and all. If you’ve assembled a party, the doors will be open to you. If you havn’t, we strongly suggest you do. This won’t be easy alone. Let the hunt for the threatening beast start!”

The mage looked at the guard and back at me, asking for my answer to his obvious question.

“I don’t think I’ll go with you, Ill try it alone.” I said to him confidently, swinging my Zard over my right shoulder and placing my left arm on my hips.

“My names Xenvar. Good luck, you’ll need it. I’ll see you inside and if you need me, I’ll help you, no problem. Again, good luck”

With that he went and climbed the ropes thrown over the ledge, and I watched him and his party disapear.
I better get going I thought. All the people were lining up at the ropes going onto the ledge. I sheithed my sword and began towards the lineup.

After a while I finally ascended the ropes I stood face to face with a huge old wooden door, swung wide open inviting me in.

I steped through not really knowing what to expect, so I had my Zard out. All the people were jumping from platform to platform, climbing ropes, some teleporting, all trying to kill Rats.
Wow, this is ganna be easy, I Have been doing this for the last while I thought it was ganna be harder
I attacked the nearest rat with a quick but powerful downstroke, slicing into it. It recoiled, but didn’t stop coming at me. They usually stoped coming at the first attack. None the less, I attacked again, slashing up this time. It flew into tha air in peices, screws and bolts flying everywhere, and inside it was a yellow card. I carfully grabed the card from the corpse and examined it.

A blue flash emerged from my perifial vision. I looked to my left to see Xanvar. He was holding a Maple Lama staff, rare and exotic. He looked at me, and then my card.

“You’ll need another 31 of those if you want to advance to the next floor, theres a nasty golem guarding the door. I wouldn’t suggest fighting it, its multiple times bigger then you.”

I exhaled deeply Another 31 in this mess? I better get started

With that I began my hunt.
