Genesis of Shadows-Part 2, Book 2

Authors Note: Here it is, another action packed episode of a long forgoten series.

Without hesitation I let loose my surikens at the reptilian beast. Simotaniously jumping back, grabing another 8 kumbis, rolling, standing and jumping onto another rock to start another volley. I didnt expect the beast to go down easly. As I jumped up for my second attack, I was also observing my damage from the first volley, except, there was nothing to survey. Cancling my attack, I fell to earth perplexed, but not caught off guard. Fully expecting a sneak attack from the, belived to be, prehistoric monster, I got one.

‘Ha, dexterious kid down there, pretty sharp too’. I observed, taking mental notes about the battle. Leaning on my sword from the weight of my armour, even if it didnt effect my mobility. ‘If it gets out of hand, Ill help him’ I decided. ‘But for now.. this is pretty entertaining’

Proving its age, it hesitated, just slightly, but enaugh for me to feel its breathing beside me. Jumping and rolling away from the breathing, now biting, dragon, I let loose a secondary volley from my right hand. With surprising speed, it withdrew its attack to only take a single hit from my attack, but even that slicing a tiny cut on its shoulder, and with the same speed, continued its attack, taking a step towards me. I let loose the contents of my left hand, getting one stuck in its shoulder, and the other three flying off into the distance, from my awkward position. It still continued its lunge towards me, and I ran out of airtime. Landing on my left palm, I started a cartwheel, hitting its lower jaw with my foot, then pouncing up as soon as my movment was completed. I skillfully planted my hand on its snout and bounced up and over behind it, reloading my hands with kumbis.

‘This is getting a little hairy’ I thought lifting my sword behind my shoulder. Taking a few steps back, I ran towards the clifside, lifting my sword with both hands, aiming at the beast.

As soon as I hit the floor I jumped back, skidding on the floor, waiting for the moment to strike. The dragon span, breaking a stone with its swinging tail. ‘Note to self, Stay away from BOTH ends’ It charged at me, mouth gaping, not sencing my ambush. This was the last attack I would make. This was going to get really close, and if I miss, or simply fail, then this is where it’ll end.
