Realization
This is going to wind up as a pretty long blog. I think i have 43 pictures prepared o.O

There comes a time in every mapler’s career where they learn their perception over something is wrong.
OK, mabe not for you but for me ok?, get off my back

Well, this week is spring vacation, where I learned something very important:
Training beats the crap out of PQs

I know I know, you’re all saying:
“wow this guy’s a noob”
but no, I had realized how crappy orbis pqs really are,

but I’ll get into that later.
It all started after I leveled ( you can see from my last blog) .
I decided train after repeated attempts at entering a pq.

it worked out great and i realized i could get 13-15% and hour.
It didn’t seem very fun i the beginning but the guild chat made it bearable.

this isn’t where i “realize yet though”

Around 96%, my guildmate happens to buy 3 esters for 1 mil each. I had to buy one for 1.3 mil, because i didn’t own one yet, I was like YAY and ester and a level this day is . (or so i thought…)

I manage to level ^^ Up. (duh)

Then i decide to travel back to Victoria and do something that might get me killed.
Does staying out of the cabin during the travel count?

So now, i’m going along and happen to pass by Henesys. Hmm Mushmom hunting sounds fun. lets see.
Now i’m on my favorite ch, ch2. and I go to mushmom and see this 4x ice wizard there. He’s says to cc and is pretty friendly but I decide not to and 2 seconds later, (seriously 2 seconds) Mushmom comes up.
I own it btw. 1.7k damage ftw. The third picture.

I read about this other player timing the mushmom so I write down the time, so I can do back to it later.
I CC and go back and there is a mob of people there in their 4x’s except this spearman dud dressed in level 35 clothes o.O . I party him and own the mushmom again, take my prizes and exp, lave the party, and change channels to head on my own merry way. link

Now the next one im not as lucky. -_-;
When I came there were two sins, on in his 60’s and the sond in their 50’s. This would was already bad but they were DEXTLESS which made it much worse. The 6x pwned me as it spawned. (also the fact that I was behind an iron hog when it spawned didn’t help either. here’s the pic link

So now, I have to wait for the next MM’s So I go to the dungen to see if I can catch a Jr. Balrog. No Dice link

I go back to ch 2 and make it just in time. This si the only MMS That I got all the exp for. Becasue no one was there link link

Now for the last Mushmom. this level 7X DK comes along and pwns me 4.2k dam
Oh yeah and the summoning spore didn’t work. Because we didn’t put it over the door duh! It spawned after that though link link

Back to orbis

Orbis pq’s some more. Another death.
After that I decided to get in some good training. Now even though I hate training it was the only way to go.
My friend told me about this website Maple-radio.com
Its pretty cool. It has a play that has Dj’s playing music that people request on the site. Although I didn’t like some songs, you gotta live with the three minutes of insanity.

Between this I get many more finds which I will sow later many little things happen.

The guild talk helps me not notice my training and makes it reasonably “fun” link
I get over 600+ grupin tails which levels up my warrior with exchange quests. link

I finally Level up and can wear my ankernune (or however you spell it) Its the 3th picture I think
Anyway I look ay myself and I realize that I look REALLY WEIRD, link

Now for the next part:
[h] Today April 8th, 2007 [/h]
This morning I thought, This is my plan until third job:
After I level I’ll orbis pq for a while until my exp gets to a non saddening % (0=10%) Then I’ll train until I level.
By this time I realized that training was the way to go and I should take a break by pqing at each level.
How wrong was I. You don’t even know.

I was the leader after I saw this mob of people appear suddenly at ch1, Orbis, the Unknown Tower.
I click and saved the same of the nearest person then waited a few seconds.
Then /Find (insert name here)
Then to my surprise (Insert name here) is at hidden street …….Entrance

Yes a track that rushed!
I quickly make a party with quite a number of 6x’s . They wait a while. but I make the mistake of not giving them a track. SO once they were in the lobby, one person left. then everyone did.
Then the party IN the pq left! and of course they got in again.

I was NOT going to make that mistake again.
I made another party with lower levels then before but it was ok. because i was planning on rush pqing anway,
But there was a chief bandit with us.
Of course we got in (with my awesome clicking skills) lol
and we rushed a couple of times before someone had to leave.
When we left I quickly grabbed the first guy i saw and entered. TO my surprise it was another chief bandit. this one had Meso Explosion.(which I will find out later) link

Because we had two chief bandits, we tried to finish the pq. (notice the tried)

And during the papa pixie….he dispelled my Magic guard while I was on the rope and you all know what happened next. The freken pixie knocked me off killing me instantly. but here is some more ME power. This is going to wind up as a pretty long blog. I think i have 43 pictures prepared o.O

N.B. I lose 5% every death so I just lost basically all of the exp from the pq.

So then we leave at ch 1. Someone had to leave so I invite this girl to pq, she accepts and we enter.
then SHE LEAVES and goes to her own party and they get in.
And as the other mage said “That BI*CH”
SO we lost the channel.

of course there has to be some MORE randomness in this blog.

And after waiting for 20-30 minutes we finally get into another pq.
blah blah blah.
then
the walkway..the Accursed walkway
I’m fighting and don’t pay attention to my hp bar until “graveyard noise” *grave falling* Me floating around. hmm what does that mean. link

Ohh more exp lost.
oh wait in the last hour or so i managed to gain a total of 1% YAY ME.

We restart of course and get a Page!. 2 level 70’s (the other chief bandit left a long time ago)
This time I don’t die. OOh not again. But what happens is at the sealed room I fall off so the other mage gets the piece. I think he’s going to keep it but he thinks im gonna take it. SO to my dismay HE DROPS it as I press up to leave. so we lost the piece >.

We restart again.

This time we get to the boss and we only manage to lose the level51 cleric. (like he healed anyway)

We actually finish it and I get 20 elixirs…..

Now we rush again, This time we don’t run into any problems. and NO one dies!

We finish and I get 100 blue potions….

So I end up training from 19%. Then in less than half an hour o get to 25% which leads to what I learned in the beginning.
I wasted 5 hours to get 20% where I could get 13% an hour.
Also in the middle I had to stop and buy pots which lead up to the expense to about 300k.
From about 2mil, in one level I managed to make 1.5 mil. and added to the scroll i sold for 1.6 mil, I almost got to 5 mil. But I wasted 300k on Opqing. then after about 30 minutes of training I get 60k.(pot expense already subtracted)

Conclusion
opqing sucks and don’t let anyone sway you with:
“oh you can get scrolls from the bonus”
Scrolls are rare even in pqs!
I got 1 ever from opqing.
The risk of dying, especially for mages is very high. (Papa’s dispell,800+ touch damage, 1.4k +magic damage)
Also the fact that he uses it almost EVERY 2 seconds.

Training is much more efficient, money making wise.
Also the equips add up.

Other things I forgot to mention in the blog.
The secret room that has little kitties in it was found. (after I saw a post about it)
So far none of them have dropped scrolls, but they’re pretty good exp. link

Also Because my old guild Died again I switched to Heaven which is Much more active. All the time people are on.
I guess my old guild was like an old man. Not mean to live but he tried anyway. lived for a while then died again.
Ok so it not the BEST analogy but live with it ok?
