Well, this afternoon, I logged in and tried to find a PQ. I got one immediately and was expelled almost as fast. Those jerks >.< anyway, after about 10 more minutes, I found another party, only to be disappointed again: we missed, twice. But this isn’t a rant about PQ, it’s a levelling.

So, discouraged, I logged out. And decided once and for all that PQ is not worth the trouble.

I made a thread in Basilmarket about training spots, being as discouraged by PQ as I was. The very first post said platoon chronos, so I took that suggestion. I thought I ought to bring a cleric, too, since the magic attacks do 140+ damage on me (which burns HP pots like leaves). Good thing for me, I have a couple of cleric friends.

Unfortunately, none are online.

In fact, only one of my friends is online. I call him Unseen (just like you’d call me emerald in-game (my crossbowman’s name is EmeraldAure, so…)). We chat for a little bit, and the conversation goes somewhat like this:
Unseen: hey emerald, what u up to?
Me: nothing
Me: can’t find PQ
Unseen: less boring than what i’m doing XD
Unseen: im killing rabbits
Me: rabbits?
Unseen: drum bunnies
*a moment later*
Me: that’s it, i’m buying hp pots and going to platoons.
Unseen: whatcha lookin for?
Me: nothing

It’s mildly amusing that when I mention platoons, he automatically thinks I’m hunting for an item. Are their drops really that good?

Anyway, a moment later I see Unseen suddenly come into my map. He parties me, and we continue training on platoons. And I find out he has max haste.

After about 2 hours, we come up with the conclusion that platoons are awesome exp, better than PQ. And drops count as prizes.

Later, Unseen left, and I cranked up the killing rate to power training. Since I was already 91%, it took only 20 minutes or so of hard power training to level up. And not only that, but I also found the much-sought-after esther shield almost right before leveling. Unbelievable.

After leveling, I now had 8 SP saved up for Final Attack. I had planned to save until there were about 15 points saved, and put them all in at once, but I couldn’t help plopping those 8 points in. Right now my FA’s nothing to boast about, but after witnessing my very first FA shot ever, I realized that training would never be the same.

P.S. I have another poem planned, but I seem to never find the time to start it. Maybe when I’m done writing book reviews for summer reading. Oh, and I have a surprise I’m gonna release with the poem 😉
