I jumped back another feet from the window but all the same it would hit me no matter what. The ilbi came crashing through the window going directly at me.
“Look out!” a voice exclaimed. There was a loud whooshing sound followed by the sound of metal on metal. The ilbi was no longer there but lay on the floor with the tiles melting away as it touched the tip. I stood there frozen and thought, was that how death felt?
“You okay?” the same voice said. I turned and saw one of my classmates; he was dark skinned and short. I wondered why anyone hasn’t noticed yet. I noticed the class was loud as cheese so the sounds of crashing glass were being masked.
“Yea, thanks,” I replied weakly forcing a smile. I looked back out the window,” Where the cheese did that ilbi come from?” I quickly regained my poseur.
“Man, was that scary as cheese,” I laughed out.
“By the way, I didn’t catch your name?” I asked the guy who saved me.
“My name’s Jamesocaliquiqui, but most people call me J.J.,”he replied.
“James-so-cali-qui-qui…nice name.”
“No, seriously, call me J.J.”
“My name’s Tristan,” I said while holding my hand out. And on cue the bell rang.
“Well, see ya later Jamessoblahblah,” I said with a laugh.
“It’s J.J.,” he yelled back rushing out the class room. I went to go examine the ilbi; it had a weird marking on it that I couldn’t figure out. Maybe Christina or the librarians could help me. I picked up the ilbi and wrapped a cloth around the tip and stuffed it into my backpack.
“U-Ummm…see ya later,” a quiet voice said from behind me, it was Christina.
“Yea, I’ll be looking forward to seeing you at Math,” I replied dashing off. It took me 3 minutes to run to the fields and I quickly found my next period.
“Tristan!” yelled a familiar voice.
“Jason!” I yelled without looking. Jason ran up to me and clamped his arms on my shoulders pulling me to the ground. We laughed. The bell rang and like Mr. Bob the teacher came to the field on cue.
“My name is Mr. Bo-Jangles, and I will be your Monster-Hunting teacher for the quarter,” Mr. Bo-Jangles boomed.
“To start off the year, you will have to kill…all these,” Mr. Bo-Jangles said as he threw 10 black-colored sacks into the air.
“Ummm…Did we win?” Jason asked poking the sacks with his hammer. All of a sudden, wooden soldiers riding on Trojan horses came rushing out of the sacks, at least 3 per sack.
“CHEESE!” Jason exclaimed as he took his hammer and swung a 360 whacking at least 5 soldiers to the ground. I gripped my sword and ran to where Jason was, who was losing his balance and getting dizzy. I sliced through 3 Trojans as I made my way toward Jason. I cut through two more Trojans and finally got to Jason. He stood up and gurgled down a white herb potion. He took his hammer and threw it across the field with monstrous strength taking down at least 10 Trojans. He then grabbed his gladius and went wild in the field of monsters. There was an ear-splitting scream and I saw this purple-haired girl on the floor with a Trojan about to ram her. I ran directly behind the girl and threw my sword at the monster. Luck was by my side as the sword cut through the horses head and stabbed the Trojan in the chest. My sword fell to the floor as the monster faded away. I smiled but it was only temporary as the sharp pain rippled through my spine. A Trojan was circling around me taking nicks at my weaponless body. I ducked down below the horse and stabbed his stomach with my fruit knife the horse toppled over along with the soldier. I cut across the soldiers’ chest and grabbed his flimsy sword. As I made my way to my through the sea of monsters I thrust the flimsy sword into a Trojan’s eye. He fell over and I rolled to the side. Lady Luck strikes again. I grabbed my metal sword and joined Jason with his massacre. The army of monsters was dead and nobody was seriously injured. Jason and I sat back-to-back panting and chugging down white herb potions.
“Hey!” a voice yelled. I turned and saw the purple-haired girl from earlier,” Thanks for before.”
“No problem,” I replied.
“No, really, you saved me back there.”
“It was nothing, my name’s Tristan,” I said extending out my hand. She shook and replied,” April.” The bell rang signaling the next class. Jason and I clambered back up and started heading toward out next classes.
“Hope to see you again,” April said as she ran toward her next class.
“Hmmm, that makes 3 friends today, weird.”

~~~~~Far, far, away~~~~~
“You have failed me,” a voice exclaimed.
“I’m sorry sir, my ilbi got inter-“
“SILENCE! No excuses! I want him dead NOW!”
“Master, maybe I can finish the job,” a fluent voice said from behind.
“No, it’s too late to be you using out big guns so soon.”
“You two finish the job fast and unnoticed,” the master commanded at his two remaining minions.
“Yes, master,” they both said as they disappeared off into the city.
