Saphira’s Fate ~ Part 6.0

Two avengers shot out of nowhere, striking all the buffies as they fell and screamed in agony. One of them narrowly missed Ashlee, making a stream of blood ooze down her skin. Ashlee looked around and found a young Hermit with his Shadow Partner at his side.
“W…who are you?”
The Hermit held his back at Ashlee. He whispered “Call me Shadow…” and Flash Jumped. A second later, he was gone…

By the time we came back, we found Ashlee sitting on a ledge gazing through the mist. She seemed to be thinking something…and I notice a slight frown in her lips.
“What’s wrong Ashlee?”
She didn’t answer. All she did was stare through the mist, her frown becoming bigger and bigger. Finally, she stood up and said, “Lets go back to Ludibrium.” Heading back, she told us about the Hermit saving her life.
“I wonder who that was…”
“Doubt it’s anyone too important, though we might see him again later…”

Ashlee continued walking with a blank look on her face, pondering about what just happened. We walked past the Toy Factory and found Luke sitting on the top, staring at the other towers far from Ludibrium.
“Is everything alright?” I asked Luke.
“Yeah…everything is fine I guess…”
“You’re not telling the truth are you?”
“No”
The last answer surprised me a lot. He often liked to tell me everything that happened to him, whether it was upsetting, exciting, sad or deadly painful. I stared at him cautiously, and then walked away silently. Something was wrong, whether it’s important or not. And I’m going to have to find it out myself, whether anyone is offering help to me or not. I’ll figure it out myself, however long it will take. Saphira looked a bit worried too, as if she knew what was going on. When I asked her what was wrong, she just grunted and walked away.

High-pitched screams and cries filled the air coming from the blood-spattered walls of the Ludibrium Department store as a mysterious figure walked out, ringing the ears of many in Ludibrium. Steelies pinned many dead bodies onto the walls and the manager was killed and pinned to the ceiling. The figure’s dark cloak was covered with dark bloodstains as he left the store with potions spilled and pills everywhere. A bloody scar stretched from the corner of his left eye to his cheek, blood streamed down his right arm, which was holding a Dark Scarab, and a dark sapphire mechanical eye replaced his right eye that gave a startling look, nearly enough to scare away any mortal man. Then…Ludibrium quieted down as the mystifying figure walked away from the ruins.

Sorry that it’s so short, couldn’t think of anything else to write =). I’ve been getting to get interested in bloody stories so…
WARNING: If you don’t like bloody stories, I’d suggest you don’t read this story from now on…though its not TOO bloody.
