Okay, this isn’t really about me; this about my brother. Just yesterday, he went on the MapleGlobal website and logged on his account. His character was NAKED. Of course, he logged on MS right away to find all his stuff GONE. Poof, just like that. After talking it over with his friends, he realized that 1) He did not have a keylogger. If he did, I would be hacked too, and 2) Only ONE person has his info (not including me). It was one of his oldest friends. They swapped their info a while ago because his friend (let’s call him . . . Glen*) sucked really badly at jump quests and asked my bro for help.
Naturally, my brother didn’t think his friend did it, but was urged to check anyway by his other friends. He tried to log on Glen’s account to find the pin number changed. That’s when it really sunk in. By then, we’d pretty much given up all hope. (A couple things did point to Glen being the hacker including the fact that my brother’s pin number was not changed. Obviously, the hacker was nice enough to leave it alone.) As a last ditch attempt, my brother tried one 1337. It actually worked o_O!! He found almost everything on his friend’s account, but not all.
After taking in account all the items that were still missing, my brother took a little extra money to compensate for it.
In the end, he left most of Glen’s stuff and only took what was his (except maybe a few stray ores). I don’t think Glen knows that my brother got his items back. It just goes to show that people aren’t always what they seem. My brother was really, REALLY lucky to get most of his items back and said he was actually a little happy he got hacked. It showed him how other people felt, and he could relate to them now. At least some good came out of this.
The moral of this story: Don’t be too quick to trust people and never, EVER make your pin 1337 ;D

It has the same basic theme.
Thanks for the link =D
I can understand about being hacked by a friend. No, I never was hacked, but my friend has. She told a trusted person her info, and she got hacked several times. Your brother never should have even told his account info. Over 50% of the time it leads to getting hacked.
I think this is proof you really can’t trust anyone.
Even your “friends”.
Only trust yourself, and nothing will go wrong >O!
