Frankly, I am quite pissed with overcrowding in Maple Story. It used to be the only problematic for the Aquila server, but apparently Bootes is getting quite crammed too. Totally not good at all.

This was the reason why my crusader is semi-retired, actually. I just couldn’t find some place to train at all. At mixed golem maps, I often get “no slots, sry”. Sometimes I don’t even get a reply. The only time period in which I could reasonably find a slot in MG maps is from 1am to 6am, and I sure ain’t gonna sacrifice sleep for “play”.

I used to find it fun and fast training at Ghost Ship. Nice exp (15~20% an hour), nice meso drops, good spawn. Then the stupid maplers went and implement the slot system at Ghost Ship too. Now I either get “no slots” (and not even a sry, mind you) or “lol wut? GTFO noob!”. Pfttt.

Then again, maybe Bootes isn’t getting overcrowded. Maybe it’s just a demographic trend, as more and more lower levelled characters become higher levelled. This is cus you can’t find much people around the low level maps anymore. At all times, only channel 1 of Wild Boar Land 1 has more than 1 person. Ant Tunnel 1, which used to be extremely crowded, has dwindled to about 2-3 people per channel.

This isn’t good for my sindit either. Less people = less spawn, so my exp gain per hour isn’t as fast as it could be. And at Wild Boar Land 1, less people = less people able to kill the accursed Jr Boogie. I don’t think I need to explain exactly how troublesome that stupid boogie is. As it is, I had to station my hermit inside the map so that I can switch over to him to clear away the boogies once in a while.

Still, I’m making pretty good progress on my sindit, especially since it’s a shared character (shared with my sis, so I don’t have to worry about backstabbing and whatnot). I’d have reached lvl 28 in 8 days, w00t. Good progress. Hopefully, I can maintain this leveling spree .
