Disrespectful Maplers.

Never thought one of my blogs would be negative, or saying anything unhappy about other maplers to the extent of the ENTIRE blog being negative, but apparently not.

MAPLE IS BUILT ON DISRESPECT THESE DAYS. IT’S COMPLETELY AWFUL.

x___x;;; My other character is a warrior. A newb at that, she’s… lvl17, maybe? o_o Windia, InYourBases, and she’s beentraining in the Slime Tree for the paat few levels. People are so disrespectful there, and just plain rude… As you know, newbies can’t hit very hard. it takes about 1 to 2 hits to kill a slime, and warriors aren’t ranged. Well, one kind is, but mine is a fighter. xD;;

So when your newbie might be training peacefully, a ranged class or a bandit [quickness], or generically someone higher level then you, steps in and kills about 7 of YOUR spawn. Considering you can kind of devide the slimetree into sections; Maybe about three or four. Now, the term “CC PL0X” bugs the crap outta monst people [myself included], so time was taken out to type, “Will you please change channels or move down? My character was here first, you know.”

RUDE.

MEAN.

DISRESPECTFUL.

You’ll get all sorts of replies like, “no”, “shut up”, “noob”, “no u cc”, “LOL”, “i dont wan 2”. For one, they’re insulting for molesting the English language, and number two, that is just beyond rude. It’s like, Maplers in general don’t treat other Maplers like REAL HUMAN BEINGS. We’re all a bunch of people, sitting behind a computer screen, playing a MMORPG game for fun, connection with friends, and entertainment. But apparently, people who are hackers, idiots, assholes and kill-joys have to come and ruin peoples fun.

Heres an example of things that happen everyday in Maple:

CONVERSATION 1
Player B: *enters map*
Player B: *Begins KSing player A*
Player A: … Please, change channels.
Player B: *no reply*
Player A: Please, I was here first. CC.
Player B: No
Player A: Why not?
Player A: It’s only fair.
Player B: LOL i dun want 2
Player B: ur noob
Player B: stpidz
Player A: *Tries to fend off the map*
Player B: *Wins, in the end*

It’s not right, and quite frankly, people should NEVER be that rude. IRL, they DEFINATELY wouldn’t disrespect people this way… Oh, wait, with modern day soicety, THEY PROBABLY WUOLD. x 3x;; It’s horrible…. people definately wouldn’t treat their grannys like that, and yet, they insist on treating other people that way. “CC PLZ” is definately annoying, but even though they rape the English Language by putting it so horribly, they’re asking you/whoever to leave, and…. most people do not abid by this. ><;;; It saves BOTH players time/mesos/items by changing channels… And if they come in your channel and tell YOU to change channels, or don’t ask for your map to share with you, then just…. Shame, shame on them.

Also, RESPECT IS OFTEN GIVEN BECAUSE OF YOUR LEVEL. Why is this? Sure, a level 120 is very amazing, considering how deticated they are to this game, how much monsters they can pwn, and how they’ve stuck to it, but… Gee, that doesn’t make them the sweetest loveliest nicest person ever. And just because some level 10 is trying really hard to kill some snails, really pitifully because their weapons still suck, doesn’t mean that they’re stupid or have no knowledge about the game whatsoever. Like, if a Level 20 was sharing a map with a level 30, and the level 30 started KSing the level 20, they wouldn’t leave because of their level. And they’d get treated better, and usually not KSed or have someone be rude to them, because of their level.

This also sort of ties in with HIGH LEVEL = ASSHOLE, but that’s not true, because alot of high levels are nice, and alot of low levels are nice, and a lot of people of different classes and levels and genders and colours and hairstyles and faces and clothing are nice, but…. Alot of them are mean, too. Disrespectful.

COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL.

>__<;; If you agree with this, please leave your own oppinions,
or click “I Like”. Maybe this can convince some others to be more
considerate and kind of other players out there.

  1. Totally true. This happened today with my MS day.
    (BTW, I’m in Windia also)

I was training earlier today, and dropped by a channel with someone in it. I started attacking, and the person said “CC.” I asked if we could share the map, and he said yes. We started training again, and later partied each other.
    Sin+Cleric=Uber pwnage of teddies.

In the end, it was awesome experience. Also got a new buddy.

Now, I log on to MS again.

This girl KSes me, and then asks me to CC. I was like, “Corn Chips?”
She called me an idiot and Ksed me some more.
I started using Middle English, Big words, French and Spanish on her.
All she could say was, “stfu noob.” or “You got two moms.”

haha, I answered to all of that.

  2. Unfortunately KSing is rampant, especially with the growing population. Sometimes it’s inadvertant: two people just trying to level up that are butting into each other’s space; sometimes it’s deliberate. It’s an unfortunate truth. I have yet to have anyone tell me to move or change channels (knock on wood). Normally I will continue to try to work the area. If it gets to be too difficult because of other players, I move on and find someplace else to hunt for a while. It’s not worth it to fuss about it and get into a prolonged battle of words, and usually in a few minutes the KSers are gone once they get their fill.
I do agree that there are quite a few rude players, be it in gameplay (KS, hacking, stealing, etc.) or insulting other players. But I have met plenty of good players. Players who are willing to party up on an area or who politely ask for items they might need (instead of “I need 500 mesos! I need 500 mesos!”) and then help you when you help them. In fact when I started playing and got to Lith Harbor for the first time, someone offered to give me a large amount of mesos (I had trouble using my keyboard to reply to him, so he wound up leaving before I could accept his offer).
