This is another attempt at a story, but it takes place in Oakstory.
For more information, look here: link
5 doors, 2 caves and a tree root were knocked upon simultaneously around OakStory.
8 letters were dropped.
It has started.
Falerix
He kicked a pebble as he walked towards his store. People passed by, no one looking up. No one cared.
He closed the door and sighed. There hasn’t been much business lately, since the job count went down.
Oakstory was going through depression, and so no one had money.
Even if they did, no one would come to his store. Why pay more for less?
That was the rumor anyways.
This was going to be a long day.
Falerix walked to and fro, cleaning his stall, the sunlight shining through the door. Cold wind blew through, frosting Falerix’s fingers on the broom.
Then, the explosion.
Elizabeth
“Dad, I’m going to the store!” she shouted up the white stairs.
No answer.
*sigh*
She walked outside. Sunshine filtered through the clouds. People passed by, some stopping to wave and wissle. Boys. Trouble, she taught herself that.
She walked towards the taxi. The driver was having an argument with some girl in a mushroom costume. Children crowded around her, poking her with sticks.
Smirking, she stepped in the taxi.
“Perion, my dear?”
“Yes, thank you Larry.”
Falerix
Luckily, Falerix was good at stopping rock shrapnel for drilling into his skin. The explosion causing the biggest erosion ever. That door needed a new hinge, and it was made of rock.
Wind blowing through the open door, dust and rubble lying everywhere. The dust settled slowly. Falerix looked around the store. Broken bottles lay, fluids pooling into a small rainbow puddle in the middle of the room. Falerix stood just behind the non-existent door, axe in hand. It slipped slightly in his hand as footsteps were heard.
He tensed. He slowly raised his axe as someone ran into the room, looking around. He charged.
Elizabeth
“Mesos please, mam.”
Ignoring the hobo, Elizabeth kept walking towards the market. She found it hard enough trying to keep up with her job and taking care of her drunken dad and keeping up with the daily assailants prowling the streets.
Haven taken the taxi to Perion and avoided the beggars, she walked towards the Perion Market when a loud explosion rocked her head.
Rocks and metal flew in all directions. Fearing, she ran towards the nearest stall.
Ishuno
Life was hard. Having lost his job and brother to the Great Fire two years ago, Ishuno moved to Perion in hopes of finding a job, but to no avail. Perion was just as bad as Nonechos Town. It seemed no one needed a monk anymore.
As people walked by, Ishuno held out his bowl. Occasiounaly coins were dropped into it. It was an embraressment, but he had to eat, and food costs money.
A pretty girl approached from a taxi. Ishuno could see the bow and a confused face behind that coat. Holding out his hand he said, “Mesos please, mam.”
It seemed polite to him.
Ignorance. She didn’t even look down.
Muttering under his breath, Ishuno looked around. No one was around. He started to pack up when he heard a step.
Turning around, he saw a person drop a huge money bag on the floor, and disappear as fast as he came.
Hey, free money.
That was his mistake.
As he ran towards the pile, he noticed a line trailing away from it. Realising what it was, he turned and ran, but it was too late.
The fuse ignited, the money exploded.
Elizabeth
The store was no better. Broken bottles lay, fluids pooling into a small rainbow puddle in the middle of the room. Footsteps shuffled behind. Slowly turning, she pulled out her bow and raised a hand to her quiver when an axe, glinting red, greeted her.
This isn’t my first, but it’s one I am going to continue.
