Everytime I try and run maple, I get an interferance message over and over before I can finally log in. I know people are going to start SCREAMING hacker, but I don’t hack, and you can read one of my rather lengthly rants on hackers and hacking if you care to. Thing is, this doesn’t happen all the time. And it only started happening after I visited a new character simulator site the other night, and I’ve run spyware and anti-virus twice, and neither of them are finding anything. Word to the wise: NEVER visit any sites you don’t know, even if your curiosity can’t be contained -___- I wanted to see if this new sim had a dragon tail on it to see my full lvl 80 look, and there was barely anything on the site. Then I start having problems with maple IMMEDIATELY after I visit the site. No one else in the thread complained though, so I have NO IDEA what to do.
What makes me suspicious and freak out is that only a few days ago one of my friends on maple gave me his cell number, saying to call him if ” you ever get hacked or something happens to your maplestory”……….. And now something IS happening to my maplestory. So now I’m afraid to let my account sit for too long without me or my mule on it.
Anyway, I’m asking everyone if they know anything else I can do to try and find out what is wrong with my computer, I might just go ahead and reformat it if nothing can be done and this problem persists. I don’t really have anything important on my computer other than maple, and I can always re-download that afterwards. Any advice on good spyware/malware/antivirus stuff would be really helpful, or if anyone else has experienced this and DOESN’T hack either -___-
the best antivirus in my opinion will always be Norman.
but if you dont have anything important on your comp I would just go ahead and reformat. if nothing else then just to be sure.
if by norman you mean norton, then no way >_> I had that on my old computer, and that thing is the single most annoying anti-virus I have EVER had. It would always pop-up when I said to allow maple, and even when I clicked “allow all times” it would come up again the next time I would try to run maple. I’m thinking reformatting is so far my best option, I just need to figure out how to and double check all my files and make sure none of my school work is on here.

norman also does the thing where you have to allow it. but it doesnt ask again when you allow it all times

I have actually gotten the wrong password screen before, but that’s been because I type to fast and end up typing in a wrong key when I try to log in, or I mistype my separate accounts password on accident. And I don’t have a cell phone Y_Y so far behind times, I’m trying to get one though.
