Maple PvP

Me and my friends thought up an arena, right in the middle of Lith harbor, where players could enter, find a room according to their level, see who they were fighting, equip their best stuff (that they had), and fight in a sort of boxing ring with two small platforms on either end.

It would cost 2k for each match you enter, so no complete noobs but no dying for free.
The players would have their hp and mp mutiplied by 5 just for the battle.
They could choose for pots or not, and a set amount of rocks (summoning and magic).
The player who won would get exp (oppenent’s lv x 50), the entry fee jackpot, and a win point on their record card.

You can organize opponents by level, class, and win/loss ratio.
You send the opponent a challenge, and if they accept, you will be taken to the rule settings that you and your opponent agrees on.

There would be a ranking system for best win/loss ratio (must have had 35 or more matches).
And then there would be party battle, but each party had to have an even number of people. (no more then 3 per). It would be in a much bigger arena.
Also there could be 1v1v1v1, so 4 people in a bigger area, exp. would be given to first and second place.

If you died, you stayed in the arena as a grave, to taunt other players (you can’t lose exp., but you would lose your 2k match entry fee).

Ground rules:
1. Ice moves will only freeze opponents for 0.5 seconds, to avoid spam ice moves.
2. Opponents will be knocked-back only if damage dealt is higher then 1/4 of total HP.
3. Opponents can be poisoned, but only for a set time unless player continues using poison move.
4. Dark Sight lag will increse by 0.75 seconds. (Magic can hit Dark Sight using thieves.)
5. Skill power depends on SP used on skill.
6. Scrolled items are allowed.
7. Opponents that are stunned will have their screen blurred.
8. Any Final Attack will be canceled if using a skill. Noraml attacking will not, however.
9. If two pets are summoned in battle (Sliver Hawk, Golden Eagle, Dragon), they will attack each other, HP of pet will depend on SP.
10. Mortal Blow will not kill opponents in one shot, though still allows you to fire arrows even at a very close range.
11. Throwing stars and arrows can be dodged if opponent has lousy aim.
12. Spider Web counts as an Ice move. (Rule 1)
13 .Band of thieves will require one of the set number of summoning rocks.
14. Opponents will be regarded as boss monsters for certain skills.

    umm they should kind of drain powers from other jobs besides mages.-.-
    they too strong!
    and there should be able to do guild matches and party matches-

  2. Pretty good actually. But I think that Rule number 2 is a bit hard to accomplish, seeing as how we get KBed by any monster that hits us ingame, and 1 is a bit too short for freeze.

  3. Nice, but not going to happen. If it was 1 vs 1, even with a freeeze time of .5 sec, we could just spam cold beam and you would remain frozen.

    Also, the KB is a little harsh. Some class rely on several hits to do damage. This would mean warriors and f/p wiz would KB more than bandits and bowmen(assuming they use Double shot). Also, most first class mages have 2 hits from M claw, which is pretty awful damage per hit, but fair damage overall.

    In addition, mages would do crazy damage to everyone except mages due to the fact that only mages get a huge amount of m def. And mages, with the x10 mp, would have enough mp to run circles around close-range players.

    I’m just looking at this from a mage’s standpoint, since my main is indeed an i/L wizard.

  5. Lvl100warrior: 15k Hp thats around 150k Hp in this arena, How much Claws a Priest uses To take that down?

    and who is gonna hack in front of sumone?

    Final attack canceled? That wouldnt be much of a PVP when all you do is wack a warrior 1 hit at a time.

    There should be like a arena in each town:
    Warriors=Perion
    Mages=Ellinia
    Archer=Hensys
    Begginers=Lith

    To spice things up sins, mages, and archers should fight each other since they are weak at close combat. AND they can do the damage,”Miss Miss Miss 1″

    Warriors and bandits should fight each other.

  8. It’s a really good idea and all. I like the rules, and it would be heaps fun. unfortunately, i don’t think it’s going to happen
