Story of Jing – The Betrayal

“Come my love, and let us reign,” said a dark but yet slender figure. Light snow was falling once again this night. A dark aura surrounded this man. It gave a warm feeling between these two people, yet it was not so pleasant.

“You’re not the Jing I know,” a soft voice cried with a soft breath. Night dawned upon the sky.

“What do you mean?” The dark figure was confused.

“You’re not Jing,” she weeped, straining her voice. The dark figure backed away and looked at the girl.

“They turned you against me, didn’t they?” Jing asked. The girl did not reply but continued to cry.

“THEY TURNED YOU AGAINST ME, DIDN’T THEY?” he yelled. Thrusting the girl away from his arms, Jing stared at the girl. So helpless she was. She fell to her knee, and put her hands to her thighs, and her face to the ground. Raising his hand, and twisting his hands into a fist, the girl rose, putting her hands to her throat, choking on nothing. “You’re not the girl I know either.”

“Stop it Jing!” bellowed from the distance.

“Slyvarant..” Jing was glaring at the man. “You turned her against me, didn’t you?”

“No Jing, you did that yourself.”

“Liar!” And of the dark bandit rushed at Slyvarant. Weilding a golden coil, he was ready to release savaging blows upon his new found victim’s body. Slyvarant shot arrows in Jing’s direction in which, strayed Jing off course, but still ravaging Slyvarant’s way.

Jing chanted a spell, and became mush faster, and started to speed and fly higher than normal. Diving in to pierce the raw flesh of Slyvarant, he stumbled, and fell to his knees. Slyvarant had been ready of this moment. Jing was angered, and his emotions began to feed his lust of blood. Ready to assault against Slyvarant, he heard him call to someone.

“Kojiyu, come.” And out of the trees came a man.

“Jing, you’ve gotta stop this now. I know you love her, but you’re turning into the one thing you hate.”

“Koji, you’re a liar.” Jing muttered. His breath could be seen in the midst of the cold.

“Why would you want to hurt someone you care about?”

“I don’t know.” The dark skin around under his eyes darkened. His eyes grew more orange.

“Jing, come on. Return to your normal self. Leave all this behind.”

“No.” His hands began to clasp into a fist, tightening his grip to his weapon.

“Why?” the girl asked. She cuddled on the ground, in front of Kojiyu’s protection.

“Because I am too powerful for you all.” He gleamed eyes with Slyvarant, and his aura took light. Centering from darkness, red light emerged from the black.

“Is that so?” Slyvarant questioned. He grasped for a piece of parchment. Slyvarant began to close his eyes and chant something similar to what Jing had done before. Within seconds, a giant mirror with runic symbols along its sides appeared next to Slyvarant. This mirror was not an ordinary mirror, but shows what is hidden within one’s heart. One’s desires, one’s soul, one’s other half.
“Take a look at it Jing.” And Jing began to come closer to the mirror, looking what uniqueness it had.

Then Jing gasped in horror and dropped to the ground after what he realized he had seen within the mirror.
