I decided to translate what Savage Blow really meant. Considering from the symbols that appear, it had to be either Chinese or Japanese. Fortunately, my love, Louise, she was able translate a chunk of it.

Each of the symbols meaning Sky, Flow, Blood, Chop, Kill. Although Flow and Blood may be seperate characters, together, they mean Bleed. I never really got the exact translation of the fourth symbol, but we agreed it was something similar to chop, cut, or slice, the such. If you know what it means, let me know.

Also, the fifth panel, those symbols, I have no clue what they are. If you know what it is or what it means, let me know. x]

[Edit] Okay, so it has more meaning in Korean than Chinese, which would make sense because this game was created by the Koreans. The symbols originate from a Korean General by the name “Yi Sunsin” who lived from April 25, 1545 – December 16, 1598. He had a sword that had an etching of the symbols 天流血斬殺 which means “Killing by cutting so that blood flows to the sky.”

Killing – 殺
By Cutting – 斬
So that Blood – 血
Flows – 流
To The Sky – 天

That’s a pretty deep meaning.

  14. From my lousy Chinese and possession of a dictionary. The last one is not a word. If “Liu Xie” Flow and Blood are together, it would really suck as a skill as the word is very elementary. I think it may be interpretable sideways. “Liu Tian Xie Something”. I’m not able to identify the last one. But what it would currently mean is Bleeding Heaven something? (I know bleeding is Liu Xie but it sounds too simplistic that way)

  15. 5th pic’s symbols are meaningless, cus MapleStory came up with em. The rest is Chinese, but the traditional (old) form, so its a little different from the Chinese words nowadays. I doubt the 4th word is chop. It resembles “break” or “fold” in Chinese more.

  23. In Chinese, the 4th word is “kan”, and I asked my mom and she told me it’s close enought to chop or cut off, so you’re on the right track

  24. It’s not supposed to be read in Chinese. The pronunciation has to be in Korean, because the characters were engraved in a famous Korean General, Lee Soon Shin’s sword. The pronunciation is Chun-Ryu-Hyeol-Cham-Sal, in that order. It means Killing by Cutting so that the Blood Flows to the Sky.
