Remembering 9/11/01

When will we begin to honour September 11th? Apparently here in school, nobody gave a moment of silence, nobody acknowledged the event, no one gave word of it even happening. Sure, non of my direct or indirect relatives that I know died in the World Trade Centers or the Planes, but what about those that did? When will people begin to realize such a tragedy? Does it take another calamity to get people’s attention? Another Tsunami? Another hurricane?

What I called America isn’t the America I know anymore. The people making up America isn’t enough to be acknowledged as America anymore. Or maybe America is just the one falling behind. People are such ignorant beings. Sure, living in the past may be a waste of time, but anyone can take some time out to mourn or remember the tragedy.

But whatever America, you’re just not the country I came to believe anymore.

[Edit] I’ve been reading around, and suddenly the belief of 9/11 is a false report? How can such an event be called false? This is the same thing when people said the Holocaust was fake! You can’t deny history when there are still people who witnessed first-hand of history in the making. I can’t believe how low people can go! Especially in their very own country!

It’s like saying you don’t exist. You know you exist, but everyone says you don’t exist. Tell me how you feel. For one, I am beginning to feel utterly sick of people in America. Everything that people are beginning to believe in is beginning to stray away from the common knowledge. There is nothing that prove these people right. What happened happens.

From the words of AboveTopSecret.com, “Deny Ignorance”.

  1. and what about all the rescue workers looking for survivors? they werent even given respirators. some of them died, and others lost 12 to 40 years of thier life from the toxic dust!

  2. we got moment of silences and even 20 minutes of each class teachers blabbed on and on about 9/11

    its just your school

they need to make it a holiday so we can get on with our lives

but the pearl harbor incident still isnt so we may never know

either way the 9/11 blogs need to stop

it was a sad day but i dont wanna be reminded again ok?

  3. Yeah at my school we didn’t have a moment of silence or anything.

Personally, I was too young to remember or feel any emotional pain when it happened in 2001. But looking back I can’t imagine how I would feel if I were my age now and it happened.

It’s sad that people are denying this like they’re denying the Holocaust. History cannot be erased, and we really need to learn from it.
