A True Warrior Part 2

(Round One of the Perion Warrior Tournament)

I was polishing my sword when a messanger boy came into my room and told me that the first round was about to start, and that I should be in the arena soon. I told him I would, and after he left, I picked up my sword and left my room. When I stepped outside into the colosseum, I could hear the fans cheering in the stands. The match was played with Warrior’s Honor rules. This meant that the first person unable to walk or stand would lose. Killing and serious injury was forbidden. As I waited for my opponent, i peered into the crowd looking for a man with spiky blond hair and two platinum earring in his left ear. Before I saw anyone, my opponent came out and stared at me with a blank expression. He had a Scmitar in his left hand and scar across his right leg. The judge stood in the stands and waved a blue flag. The match had begun.

(Weapon Status)

Scmitar vs Moon Blade (Vince’s sword. It’s custom made)

The Scmitar is a large curved sword good for slashing in circular directions, but poor when coming for direct jabs. The Moon Blade is a medium sized sword that has good speed and power. It’s full capabilities have not been unleashed yet.

ROUND ONE- Vince vs Eric

As soon as the flag touched the ground, I rushed at Eric with my sword still sheathed. He stood in a back stance (his front foot turned 90* to the side and his weight leaning on his back leg) and as soon as i got close, he slashed at me diagonally from top right to bottom left. I dodged it to my left and spun around, pulling my sword out, and slashed the back of his legs. He yelled in pain as he crumbled backwards to the floor. His scmitar fell to his side. I took a few steps back. The crowd was going wild thinking the match was already over. But Eric, slowly but surely struggled to his feet, using his weapon for support. The back of his legs were cut but not bleeding. I held back a little when striking him, making sure not to finish him yet. He gained some support back into his legs, took a deep breath, and roared as he charged at me. I saw his sword glowing as he swung his sword into the ground, attacking me with a slash blast. I easily dodged it, rushed at him, and struck him in the stomach with my fist. He gasped as he slowly fell to the ground again. This time, he didn’t get up. The crowd was going crazy. The reason I did this was that I was here to show the people that I was not here to be entertained by the rookies and the novices. I was looking for a decent warrior that I would actually use my sword to defeat. The medics rushed onto the field as I swung the blood of my blade, sheathed it, and walked away.

End of part 2.
