My MapleStory – Part I

Okay, so I live in a world called MapleStory. I’ve been playing since the day it came out of Beta. I can vaguely recall if it was version 0.11 or 0.12. Maybe it even was earlier before I even noticed the version number.

I am a 16 year old Junior who attends Palm Beach Central High School. I’m also a guy. Male gender of the human species in the Asian race. No, I don’t care if you know where my school is. Like many other players in MapleStory, I am asian as well, but to be more definite, I am Vietnamese. I’m quite proud of who I am, and I don’t care if you want to make fun of me. I’m not the coolest kid around, but I’ve been told I’ve got pretty flippin’ sweet hair. The things I like to do when I’m not Mapling is to sing and guitar some. I really desire to play the Piano or the Cello, but I’ve never been taught any music. I’ve taught myself how to sing and guitar, or at least so I think.

My love life isn’t all that great. Although I wish I really had someone I could connect to, no one seems interested in me. The longest relationship I ever held was about eight months. I still talk to her, and when I break a relationship, I still try to be friends with them. I hate making new friends and end up forgetting them. What’s the point of making friends if you end up not being their friends? It’s so pointless.

Unfortunately, I wish I could be a reputable person. Lots of my friends are in bands and already on tour. I’m still here, just not with them. I could be with them if I played the guitar better, or even be a good singer. It’s things I try to work on, but some are just set and you can never change the way you are.

Being so, this leads to the world of MapleStory.

So my first account ID was ‘Buddha’. Yes, I got the account name ‘Buddha’. My first Character ever had to have been YohYoh. It was a magician. I remember traveling to Henesys Hunting Ground I and meeting the person I ever interacted with. Her IGN was ‘Goat’. Yes, ‘Goat’. We had an interesting conversation about the IGNs we tried to reserve. I can’t recall the other names she had, but I definitely remembered Goat. Well, my first mage didn’t turn out so well. It got to only level 12 and I moved to the next server, Bera. I remember when I made my first character, a Warrior. It’s name was ‘WhirI’. I started leveling it up, and got to level 16 with this warrior. AS boring as it was, I decided to make a new character. I made a new character with the name ‘HokageMage’, to replace the Magician I used to have. Honestly, I used to be a big Naruto fanatic. I believe this never got past level 10? Accordingly, I made a new warrior because I thought if I made it to 16 on my warrior, it must’ve been great. So I made a new character by the name of ‘Giet’. But I didn’t like warriors, being they were melee. So I deleted him and made a thief by the name of ‘Giet’. I became a level 20 Rogue. I immediate saw the failure when I disliked the fact that people still were better than me, and that’s when the terrible day came.

I began to indulge myself in a world of selfishness and started to hack on a new character I made. It’s name was ‘Microchip’. Immediately within a few days, I was satisfied with my new Bandit. I got it to level 93, and I started to show off my level. Within minutes, a GameMaster came to ban me. I can’t recall the GM’s name, but I got banned. After that terror, I decided to not hack ever again. And I rested dormant away from MapleStory, considering ‘Buddha’ was banned. To me, they didn’t just ban ‘Microchip’, but a part of me.

Quite after I returned, I had been playing on a warrior. This character’s name was ‘EIiza’, and it was a female warrior. I remember why I got stuck with a female account. I got lazy to sign up and rushed through it. I got ‘EIiza’ to level 24 soon, and I began bored with it again. So I moved onto a magician for the second time. Amazingly, I reached level 28 with this character. It’s name? ‘VanilIa’. Yea, I got a pretty sweet name. Unfortunately, I got stuck in El Nath when I went exploring, and new to the Ossryia continent, I made a new character.

I made a new character by the name of ‘R0MANCE’, and it was a really cute name. As I started playing deeper and deeper, I started newer friends, and connected to closer friends on Broa. My friends were ‘HeroChaos’, xTehPro, Matt2341. Those were the three main friends I was connected to. I also recall two other friends, ‘KiwiKin’, and ‘PikeKin’. Not sure if those are correct, but they were nice. I also had another friend named ‘MagicCub’, or something of the sort, but he was awesome. He also was a guy playing a girl character. This was my first character ever to get past level 30 legitly. I made her a cleric. She made it to level 32 as well, but seeing ‘R0MANCE’ as imperfect with her stat and skill build, I deleted ‘VanilIa’. I remade ‘VanilIa’ and proceeded to become a Fire/Poison wizard, but my friend HeroChaos insisted he be a F/P wizard. Upset, I became a Cleric again, but this was amazing, because I made it to level 35. Around this time, 3rd jobs came out, and I really wanted to become a Priestess, but that dream never came true.

As for this story, I left Broa, and I left for good.

I moved into Windia playing a rogue this time. But this world was going to change my life forever. I began as ‘iShuriken’, and I played with her until around level 18. I met a great friend, ‘Clouria’. She supported me alot. We played lots together, and trained, and swapped our future dreams in Windia. I was going to be a Hermit I suppose. She was going to be F/P at the time I believe. Later, I decided I wanted to go back to basics, and create a warrior, and I proceeded with ‘iBlackRose’. I really loved the show .hack//SIGN and their games. I wanted to make a MapleStory version of her, which is a Heavyblade, also known as a 2-hand Swordsman in MapleStory. Soon, a new patch update invited MapleStory to create guilds. She and I soon became desperate and determined to make a guild. We soon ran around asking for funds and donations to start the guild. I figured if I asked enough people for 5,000 mesos, we would get there soon. I remember ‘LiveTree’ gave me at least 20,000 mesos and gave me a smile. Clouria and I, we went to Pig Beach, and that’s where we met ’00Berry00′. We talked to him, and he was a really nice person. I asked what he planned to be, and he said he would be a Cleric, because he wanted to support his friends as he played MapleStory. Around this time, I believe Clouria suddenly changed her focus towards an I/Li wizard. Soon enough, we became a trio dedicated towards a creation of a guild.

As Clouria and I ran through Henesys Hunting Ground I, I met a guy by the name of ‘PrinceCor’. I told him my story, and he immediately became interested. Soon enough, we had a team of four to make the newest guild in MapleStory. Clouria also made friends of her own and his name was ‘Flere’. He was a really fun kid at the time, but later, he became emotional. I also had my cousin play with us, and his name was ‘Trithaius’. With a team of six, we were more than on our way to a guild. I had a brother, and I often begged him to lend to me mesos. Of course my brother’s name was ‘EnragedViet’, partly, Viet being his name and our nationality. My brother loaned me 600,000 mesos to make the guild. We also had a friend named ‘Addien’, but he became stupid and we took him out. Although he helped a bit, that’s when it began.

Our first guild was called ‘NetSlum’, definitely based off of .hack//SIGN’s secret map where hackers went to hide, but we weren’t a hacker guild. We soon began adding friends to it such as ‘OrangeWing’, ‘BlueBunny111’, and ‘xJewelzx’. We also had a friend named ‘xTsukasa’. I believe that’s how we spell their names. I can’t really recall everyone else in the guild. We upgraded our guild to 15 members too. As our adventures began, the name NetSlum wore off, because it was too specific. I requested some mesos to remake the guild and rename the guild. Of course, being loyal friends they were, they did. Here is where I went to Orbis, and disbanded our old guild.

Funny thing is, I didn’t expect to pay 200,000 mesos to disband the guild at first. So I was short 200,000 mesos, but got it back when I NPC’ed a few items of mine. And the name of the guild that I was about to recreate? ‘Pirates’. From the very beginning of my lost in interest of the name NetSlum, I had a desire to name my guild Pirates, being that they were really cool figures in History. Soon, we readded most of our friends back, and we upgraded it to 15 members again. So a total figure of 4.2mil already for guilds? Wow, it was alot back then. We soon met great friends such as ‘RedMoose’ and ‘FlameTaijou’. I still can’t recall all their names correctly. Since we had a great band of people, we were easily provided with mesos to fund for space. We soon immediately got a 20 member upgrade and the guild Emblem. We often PQed together in Ludibrium and had loads of fun. Then we had our second to last upgrade, the 25 member slot. But now that I was a level 35 warrior, I was bored. I had no interest in the same things over and over. I was never going to make it to level 70 and become a crusader. I wasn’t going to hold a Doombringer, the weapon that is similar to BlackRose’s weapon. So I quit iBlackRose, the level 35 warrior.

And that was when PirateJing was made.

If you all don’t mind, please click that you liked this blog. I really hope that I find some of my old friends from the past. I will continue my story in another blog. x]

I love you all~
