Here is the 20th Episode to The Maple Story. Hope you like it!

We circled around each other, much like what happened in the gym.

Once again, he lunged at me first. I wasn’t quite ready for it and he hit me in the foot. I immediately equipped the Deadly Fin Patrick gave me, and stabbed him. It wasn’t enough though, the hit made just a mere dent in his heavy armor. Daniel took his Holy Spear at tried to aim it at my head. I had little reaction time and I barely got out of the way.

It barely grazed my soldier. Then he launched a fury of attacks. I couldn’t react fast enough. I dropped all my stuff, including my money. For some odd reason, it exploded. I was stunned at this new skill that I had aquired.

I do remember the Dark Lord saying something about exploding money. I laughed at the thought because it wasted my mesos. He never mentioned it again.

Unfortunately, Daniel quickly recovered and started attacking me insanely fast. It hurt like 10,000 knives piercing into your body. Next thing I knew, his spear was at my throat, and he was laughing evilly. I tried to escape, but he countered it every time.

“Now it’s time for you to die.” Daniel said. He raised his spear and then he just froze.

Taylor apparently casted Cold Beam. Without notice, everyone else joined in. Desperate to protect their kid, Daniel’s parents hopped in the fight too.

I scrambled up and tried to help.

“You shouldn’t have interefered!” One of Daniel’s friends yelled. “You are going to pay.”

You could see blood flying up from the mass. I heard screaming, and the sound of magic being casted. I looked over at Patrick, he looked so serious. You could see it in his eyes, he was fighting for a friend that he just met up with a few days ago. Daniel walked out of the crowd limping a bit. He looked over at me, and I looked at him.

We started fighting as if nobody else was there. It was vicious, a few Savage Blows on him, a few Power Strikes on me. I have never felt this bad before. I then used the new skill Assaulter. I was just an amateur at it so it used up a lot of energy. But it stunned him, he could not recover like before.

Suddenly, this sharp sword pierced my back.

“Kevin!” I heard someone yell. It sounded much like Amy’s voice.

“Let’s leave, we have accomplished what we want.” I heard Daniel say.

My friends gathered around me.

“Take care of yourself Amy.” I muttered out.

She was crying so hard. She leaned over me and kissed me. Nothing had ever felt so soothing. It still didn’t take away the pain.

My vision slowly faded and I fainted.
