Words of a Hacker-CH2-

A fire crackled nearby. I slowly opened my eyes to find myself in an unfamiliar room. My whole chest was bandaged and someone had stitched up my Anakamoon. I made sure the silver locket was still around my neck. I felt something pressing down on my legs.

I looked to see the GM from earlier sleeping at my feet. Why had she saved me… I gently shook her awake. She yawned and turned to me.

“So you’re awake.” She said getting up. “Your wounds need some healing up but they’ll be ok as long as you don’t move around too much.”

“Why didn’t you kill me…?” I whispered.

“Same could be asked of you.” She said back walking out of the room. “I’ll start making dinner.” She called from downstairs.

I laid back down in the bed and started to use Heal. I finished in a couple minutes and got out of bed. I threw some wood into the fire and walked over to a window. I opened the shutter. A soft, night breeze breathed into the room. I took a big breath.

“What to do now..” I said into the night air.

“Master are you ok?”

“Yeah. The GM saved me. Ly what took you so long?” I asked the little boy that was standing on the roof next to the window.

“No one had seen a Hacker lately around here except you.” Ly said. I had asked him to go into town to see if there were any hackers lately. I turned to him.

Ly had silver hair and red piercing eyes. He had been a Lycanthrope but before his death he was bound to the silver locket around his neck. Now he served the wearer of the locket in the form of a little boy. He seemed weak but I had seen him in battle numerous times.

“Dinner’s ready!” the GM called from below.

“Why don’t you come in Ly? I’m sure she won’t mind.” I said walking towards the door. Ly came in through the window and followed me.

Downstairs I introduced Ly to the Gm and myself.

“I’m Michael, although you might know me as Zero as some people call me.” I said as I sat down.

“I’m Lily but we can talk later. You’ve been sleeping for about 3 days now. You must be starving.” Lily said handing me a bowl of soup.

I ate like a starved dog. I could feel Lily’s eyes staring at me the whole time. After I finished eating I saw Ly sleeping in a corner.

“So what’ll you do now?” Lily asked curiously.

“I don’t know. I’ll probably just wonder around.” I said.

“Why don’t you stay here? No one else has lived here since my parents passed away.” She suggested.

This question caught me off guard. Live with a GM? It was crazy. But she did save me…She can’t be that bad. No I couldn’t.

“Sorry about the death of your parents and sorry again but I’ll have to decline your offer.” I said. “Ly get up. We’re going.” The sooner I was out of here the better. Who knew if one of her GM pals decided to drop by.

“Ly come on we’re going.” I called again. But Ly just stood there sniffing the air.

“Master, there’s a Hacker near by.” Ly said. I could see his hand twitching. His hand had claws instead of finger nails.

It might be Jane! I quickly ran out of the house. Ly followed me close behind.

“Ly where is the Hacker?” I asked searching through the darkness.

“Behind us! On the roof!” Ly yelled turning and jumping up.

“Ly stop! What if it’s Jane?” I called out. But I knew it wasn’t. The Hacker was a male Crusader. I Teleported up onto the rooftop.

“Hello.” I greeted.

“Why are you here? This GM is my kill!” He said raising his Blue Screamer. He stared at me and slightly lowered his weapon. “Wait you must be Zero. I can tell by your scar. I’ve heard about you. They say you never hesitate to kill.”

“Yeah so?” I asked. I used Holy Arrow and aimed an arrow at the Hacker.

“Woah. So the rumors of you being able to use Holy Arrow without a staff or wand are true. But I’m assuming the fact you gave up your 3rd job skills are correct, too. Why are you defending this GM anyway?” he asked raising his Blue Screamer again.

“None of your business. Now leave before I have to kill you.” I warned. It was only fair for me to protect Lily since she saved me.

“You’re a traitor to your own kind. Don’t you know who the GM you’re protecting is? She’s Lily the daughter of the GM who created that potion that killed the first Hacker.” He said with an evil grin.

This couldn’t be true. This Hacker was right. I was betraying my kind.

“So what? I don’t care. I’ll take you and anyone else on.” I shouted shooting a Holy Arrow at him. He quickly slashed at the arrow. It shattered and faded away.

“You might be strong against humans but I bet you’ve never faced another Hacker before.” He said. He was right. This was my first battle with another Hacker.

He quickly rushed forward. I Teleported to the side. His blade slashed through the air.

I screamed out. Something had just slashed my right shoulder. I quickly used Heal. It sealed quickly. The Hacker just laughed and lunged at me again. This time I jumped up. I aimed at his head. I was just about shoot when I felt something stab my left leg.

I fell to the ground. The Hacker raised his sword and brought it down but he was thrown away.

“Don’t touch him!” Ly warned. His claws were dripping with blood. The Hacker had a slash across his chest. He got up again and laughed. He waved his sword to the side and slashed the air.

Blood sprayed into the air as Ly’s arm sliced open.

“Ly!” I yelled. Ly fell to his knees as he grasped his shoulder. I tried to Heal his arm but he brushed me off.

“This is nothing.” He said. He got to his feet.

“I see you’ve never seen my power before. I have the power of ‘ceasx’. It allows me to manipulate dimensions. Basically I can attack you from anywhere. As long as I can see you you’re just another target.” The Hacker said. “Now die!”

He came at me again. I quickly raised my left hand. He slashed at me. I Teleported to the side and received another slash on my body, this time on my sides.

“Ly. Go protect Lily.” He argued but I used the power of the silver locket he was bound to and he went. I looked at my left hand. Why hadn’t my vac worked?

“I heard you had the power of vac. Why don’t you use it?” The Hacker asked.

I ignored him and used Holy Arrow. I quickly fired a Holy Arrow at him. He blocked the attack with his blade. I kept firing arrow after arrow. He just put his blade up and defended my attacks. I kept firing, making each arrow stronger then the last. I could see the arrow start to push him back.

“You’ll never win like this!” he called out. We’ll see.

I kept firing and firing. I could feel my energy sink lower and lower. The Hacker just stood there in the same position. Just a little longer. After a few minutes I stopped my attacks. I started to breathe heavily. All the attacks had taken their toll on my body.

“What you’re done already?” The Hacker asked. “Now it’s my turn to attack.”

He took a step forward and crumpled to the ground.

“Why can’t I move?” I shouted angrily.

“You have been staying in one position for over 10 minutes. Your body must be cramped.” I explained. I walked over to him and kicked away his Blue Screamer. I placed a hand on his head and quickly used MP Eater.

“Just to seal your Shout.” I said.

I used Holy Arrow and aimed at his head.

“Now die.” I quickly jumped back. An arrow was buried where I had been standing a moment before.

I looked up into the air. A Hacker was floating in the air. She was holding a Marine Arund. She notched another arrow onto her bow.

“Jane…” I whispered.

“Michael. Long time no see. Too bad we’ll have to part again.” She shot another arrow at me. I Teleported away. She retrieved the Hacker’s sword and walked over to him.

“Luke can you stand?” she asked.

“Yeah. Thanks for coming.” Luke said. He sheathed his sword. “I guess today I’ll let the GM go but next time she’ll die.” He grabbed onto Jane and they both flew away.

“Jane!” I yelled. I started to run after them. Jane turned and used Fire Shot. She released the burning arrow and it hurled through the air. It hit the ground in front of me and I was thrown a few yards away.

“Jane…..”I whispered reaching my hand out as if I could reach them.

“Michael!” Lily came running to me with Ly behind her. “You should’ve have fought. You still haven’t recovered from the first battle.”

I ignored her and used Heal. I let the green light wrap around my body. I could feel my wounds slowly close. After my body was healed I turned to heal Ly’s wounds.

“Why didn’t might vac work?” I shouted. I stared at my left hand. I tried to vac a nearby branch. It slowly nudged towards me but then stopped.

“That Hacker told you my dad had created the potion to kill the first hacker.” Lily said. “It’s called the Biological Altering Narcotic or “Ban” for short. But the main ingredient for it is some of my DNA. So I guess when I attacked you the other day I accidentally canceled out your Hacker powers. Don’t worry it should wear off soon.”

I sighed. It was relief to know that my vac wasn’t gone forever.

“Lily, I’ve decided to stay with you.” I said.

“Really? Oh my gosh I need get a spare room ready! You should’ve agreed earlier!” she said. She didn’t say anything but I could tell she was happy.

We all went back inside. After drinking some potions to recover my strength we all went to sleep. There was a spare room in the attic. I took the room.

“Michael, why did you decide to stay here?” Ly asked. He was lying down in a small bed we had brought up.

“Ly go to sleep.” I said. I didn’t want to tell him the real reason. If that Luke guy wanted to kill Lily he would keep coming back here and Jane would be with him. This was the easiest way to see Jane again. Why was she with that creep anyway? And why did she attack me?

Questions swam around my head but I managed to slowly ignore them and go to sleep.

“Good night Jane…” I whispered.

  1. woohoo! this is a great story Oblivion. I hope it gets better than ur last story. Is this a total different one or just the next book? It doesn’t look like the next book though.

  2. I front-paged you. =D

Woo, that was a good one. =P

I like how you worked in the “Ban” thing. It was awesome, lots of action. But you ought to fix up those pesky errors that are in there. Not a whole lot, but there were some.

  3. Try to fix the grammar errors. And it’s spelled grammar. Yes, looks weird, but true.

Anyway, you need to fix your word usage, and it would be a great story.

  4. @deathwalker: naw its a totaly new series
