Blitz & Me (chapter 15)

We walked wearily through the tree tops of Ellinia. There wasn’t an inn in sight. As darkness started to fall we were exaughsted. My feet ached as I sat on a bench. Dan and Helen sat down to. I got a bottle of water for each of us from my bag and handed them thier water. I drained my whole bottle in a single breath. I panted as I looked into the sunset.

The sunset gave Ellinia a murderous look. I thought it was kind of strange. Ellinia was pretty peaceful. But it seemed as if the very trees were covered in blood.

“I’ll go look for an inn. You two rest.” I said getting up.

“I’ll go with you.” Dan insisted.

“No thanks. You rest.” I ran off through the trees. I looked around everywhere for a sign or something poiting to a place to stay but all I saw were shops and houses. We needed a place to rest. It wasn’t like we would be invited into the palace. We had to break in.

As darkness fell over Ellinia I started to give up. I kept looking a little bit more but a scream pierced the night. It was horrible. I ran toward the source. I took out my Olympus and got an arrow ready. I turned a corner and I found myself in an alley-way. There was a man surrounded by monkeys. But these monkeys were starnge. As I saw theier dead flesh I realized they were zombie Lupins. I quickly fired at them before they even noticed me. The man thanked me but I heard another scream. It was familiar. It was Helen’s scream.

I ran back to them to find them surrounded by zombie Lupins. They were trying to fight them off but there were too many.

“David!” Helen shouted as she felled a zombie Lupin. I strung an arrow and shot at the nearest zombie Lupin. He died with a screech. I started shooting them down one by one. Finally after a while we managed to kill the last one.

“That was close.” Dan panted.

“Yeah…” I whispered. “You, ok?” I asked looking at Helen.

“Yup. I can heal these scratches easily.” A green ligth surounded her as her scars disspeared. She did the same for me and Dan.

“Well did you find a place for us to stay?” Dan asked.

“Not really…” I whisepered. “But we got other things to worry about. Look!” I pointed into the edges of Ellinia. There was a huge mob of zombie Lupins. Thousands of them heading toward Ellinia.

“No way!” Dan shouted. “We can’t kill them all.” Just then something stirred in my bag. Blitz poked his head out.

I’m ready, Blitz growled.

“For what?” I asked but it was too late. Blitz ran toward the edge of Ellinia. We ran after him.

“Wait up! Blitz!” I called after him but he kept running. He perched himself on a high tree as the mob continued to come. Blitz opeend his mouth and shot out icicles. They showered over the mob of zombie Lupins killing maybe 20 of them. Blitz kept repeating his attack as we helped attack. As we attacked dozens of mages appeared next to us and started attacking, too. Even with out combined efforts there were still too many.

As Blitz released another atatack one of the zombie Lupins threw a banana at him,. He fell off the tree and hit the ground hard.

“Blitz ae you ok?” I asked picking him up. There was a small cut on his face. It didn’t look too bad but then a drop fell and hit the ice crystal. Just like all the other times it glowed and Blitz transformed. It still mystified me.

Some of the mages froze in fear but the fear vanished as they saw Blitz killing the zombie Lupins. But sorry to say even this didn’t help. As eevryone started to tire a scream rang through our little group of defenders. I looked to see a kid, maybe around 13, fell to the floor. A banana had hit him on his chest and knocked him back intom a cart full of sharp tools. As blood dripped out rage filled me.

I had to end this before anyone else got hurt. Maybe next time it would be Helen or Dan. As anger consumed me I felt my energy grow. A red aura surrounded me and Blitz. Blitz glowed a bloody red before he transformed into the dragon. It went into my Olympus and it turned into a Metus.

As if I had dine it a thousand times before I notched a couple arrows. I pour my energy into them and released them as if releasing my anger. The arrows split apart creating thousands of arrows. The screeches of the zombie Lupins was like a choir a death. I kept using Arrow Rain until only a couple hundred zombie Lupins were left.

I notched one arrow onto my Metus and pulled it back. A fire burned inside me and I let it out. I looked at my arrow to see it go on fire! It started to grow bigger and bigger. I aimed it at the zombie Lupins and fired. It blasted off at a great speed and cut through the zombie Lupins, incinerating them into ashes.

I felt myself completely wiped out I fell to my knees and dropped my Metus. I fell on the ground as Helen started to heal me.

I saw the Metus glow again and seperate into Blitz and my Olympus.

“Blitz..” I whispered and then I fell unconcious.
