The Funny thing about These Topics about how much runescape sucks, is that they are written by little kids that dont bother to play the whole game for what its worth, and I bet that they never even got off tutorial Island here are some reasons why Runescape isnt bad
1. The Graphics are Not Horrible But they arnt up to par as most 3d Games
2. The game play is Solid and Playable But it does get boreing SOMETIMES
3. Leveling is Decent and There are no Class specific Stuff
4. ALL MMOs have Noobs and Newbs Get used to it
5. Have you even played the game?
6. Pfft, You played for 10 mins So now your an expert -_-‘
7. $5 a Month for benefits
8. Quests
And You guys cant say That Im a Newb, I have a Level 90 In Rune scape so I Know how the game works It doesnt suck the quests are awsome and some Take SKILL to do

2)Very confusing. It’s funny how you have to wander around for say, 5 WEEKS just to know where everything is.
3)The walls will disappear into thin air once you get too close to them.
4)The chatterbox is worse than MAPLESTORY’S. I repeat MAPLESTORY’S.

o.O, I’ve played for 3weeks and it was pretty easy.
1)I dont care about the graphics, but the accuracy thing is kinda ghetto. Although you’re over level 100 you will still do 0 damage sometimes.
2)The special events like Mysterious old man, genie, etc. hardly happens. Sometimes it happens a lot to people who doesnt play a lot, and sometimes you wait for a whole day and nothing happens.
3)No offence but the whole runescape staff constantly make upgrades for members, but players who aren’t members gets nothing. Not even an one year aniversary celebration like maplestory.
4)Sometimes it doesn’t make sense because you can’t do the goblin dance or even bow down when its pretty sure easy in real life.
5)There are too many people who asks for money, and there are too many people who can’t make up their mind for things they sell like feather.
6)Too lazy to go back in forth from karumja to the bank and ends up npcing good drops.
7)Too little space for inventory! Also you the rune essences are ghetto (If runes can be held many in one inventory spot, why can’t essences?)
8)I have about 17 more complaints, too lazy to write down.

This is also true, 85% of the upgradess given by Jagex Co. are specifically for members, which is $5.00, fairyl cheap compared to “NX Cash” of MAplestory, and toy get MUCH more than regular f2p players.

Eh, i can make a strong point >_< I played runescape a LONG time ago. It was the first online game I ever played (Besides Diablo2) andi was like what omg, this is the best game ever. I sold big bones yatta yatta >_> got to lvl 71. THis game is by far the SIMPLEST game you could ever play. what, you run around, EVERYONE LOOKS THE F***ING SAME AS YOU. YOU PAY $5 for something TETRIS PWNS? lmao, I dont even know why you people still bother with this friggin game. 1. The graphics ARE horrible, but I give them points for trying.
2. Sure it’s solid. But games that are MORE solid involve more commands than simple CLICKING.
3. Techinacally there ARE class specific things. Leather armor (ranging) protects from magic and other rangers, while offering little protection against a warrior type. Normal armors protect well from arrows and other close combat, but offers limited protection against magic. Magic robes don’t protect well from anything, but give a magic boost.
4. Im used to noobs. But i still hate beggars.

Two of my friends got COMPLETELY roped into it, it was sickening. They didn’t want to go to the park, they didn’t want to come over, they didn’t want to do ANYTHING except play runescape. That is one of the main reasons I’m sick of it.

I agree with everything this person said.And i tried the game since all the peolpe tried it at my school.5 minutes later I quit.Runescape doesnt even have a face.When you die you lost almost everything.The controls are horrible.I would rather press ctrl to attack the clicking constantly on the mouse.The armour sucks.The weopen sucks.The highest attack you can do is like not over 100.Maplestory the highest atttack is endless.TRYING TO FIND A PLACE IS HARD.THE MAP DOESNT REALLY HELP.The attacking moves are moving your arm up and down over and over.Ss3jin has a EXTREMELY GOOD POINT! Ok, so Maplestory and all of the other 2D games have Runescape eating crow in the “best graphics” contest.
But Runescape is well, advanced.
Sure the clicking-like-a-zombie-over-and-over-and-getting-carpal-tunnel-syndrome-eventually thing is well, bad, but look at the positives.
RS has skills.
It has millions of clothing items.
You can do *SOMETHING* else than fight.
I seem to be the only MS player with nothing against RS.
Ok, so the RS community stinks even more than MS’s. *except for the MS forum, the MS forum is just plain HORRIBLE*
But seriously.
RS has pretty good GM’s and stuff.
I’m trying to be positive and stuff.
MS is definitely better than RS, but what has RS done to you?

So right there you only have 6 reasons and it seems by putting that you aren’t able to think of 8 reasons and have to add that to fill some space. And about a few more of your reasons-

7. $5 a Month for benefits — In some ways this is hurting the game because you are saying you need to pay to get member access to the game but RPGs like Maplestory are free to play the entire game.
8. Quests — Like vinneh said all RPGs online or not have quests. They are just regular for any RPG you play.
