New guild, double-faced leaders.

So anyway, I’m in the guild Envy, on Windia. It’s a pretty respectable guild, with an enblem and all the expansions bought. We have a lot of people active at a time, maybe 10-15. I was recruited on the ship back to Victoria, and I was level 50 at the time. This level 59 bandit, comes up to me and says, “Hey man, remember me from kerning PQ?” I was shocked he remembered me, as this was around two months ago. I have a vague memory of him, so I say sup. I was in a crappy, non-emblem guild at this time, with minimal activity, around 2-4 people on at a time, and it’s always the same people. He told me he’s the leader of his guild now. I tell him that’s cool, and he offers me a position in his guild. I say what the hell, and join. He told me the fee was 150K, but I could get in for free. Since I was pretty affluent at this time, I told him that I would pay it anyway. I didn’t have meso on me, so we waited until we got to Victoria.

I told my guild I was leaving, and only one person responded. He wanted me to recruit his other character, so I said sure. I told Hazard, the Envy guild leader that I would be right back, and took the taxi off to Henesys to meet him there. I added Hazard to my buddy list incase I lost track of him. After I got back to Ellinia, I quit the guild and joined his. Everyone was very friendly, and I was promoted to the third highest rank.

Fast forward to me training on platoon chronos for the Maple Lama Staff, and I found a glove 60% att scroll. I asked if any guild members wanted to buy it before I put it on Basilmarket, and Hazard said he would buy it. He only had a million on him, so I trusted him to pay me back the rest later. He gave me the million, and tried it on his work gloves. It didn’t work, and it was his last slot, so I felt sorry for him, and said he could keep the rest of the money. He promotes me to the second highest rank, and Jr. Mastery. Two other Jr. Masters are Fire and Rampage, Hazard’s brothers. Again, everyone is friendly and congratulates me on my rank up, and there is no envy among the guild (pun intended =P).

Fast forward to today. Fire was at El Nath, and he said there was a Ks-war going on. He was alone, so I rushed over to help. It seems that we were facing a guild called “Crimson,” or something like that, and there were about three members of Crimson there, a level 60 female page, who was the apparant cause of this “ks-war”, and her backup, a high 40s bowman and cleric. Fire tells me that she came in, started KSing him, and wouldn’t leave after he asked nicely to her. She tells me that she was just passing through. Now, we have friendly Fire over here, cursing as fast as he can, saying nasty things to her and her guild members. They are just taking it, not really insulting him, just trying to reason. I tried to be the mediator in this, and tell the guild that if they change channel, Fire will stop cursing at them. I make Fire promise not to follow her, as this was one of his threats. All of a sudden, Hazard appears as backup. He joins our party, and starts saying a lot of stuff about Crimson. (I gotta say, if I needed someone to win a verbal argument, Hazard would be my man. =P) However, he did not know the situation at all, just insulting them, just because his kid brother told him to. They changed channels, and they followed them! I stood there, dumbfounded. They change channeled back, and soon backup was called on both sides. My guild, with it’s high levels, were too fast and too strong for the Crimson guild. They were getting KSed all around, but still not insulting us, just taking it.

Now, another two people appears, two members from another guild. They have no relation to this KS war, but Hazard seems to be acquanted with one of those people. One of them turned out to be a former member, and he was kicked for having a maple story girlfriend. (The other person was the alledged girlfriend.) So, now Hazard is attacking both guilds verbally, saying stuff like “oh you’re dad’s dead, go suck his d*ck, etc. I’m like, why is he acting like this? He’s a really nice guy. Hazard notices that I’m not being nasty at all to the other guilds, and tells me it’s a KS-war, and that I have to insult and curse and stuff. So I start insulting them, being new in the guild, and wanting to be accepted. (MapleStory peer pressure >.>) They just take it. After about 30 minutes of this, my guild leaves, and I don’t notice. The Crimson guild and the two other people have become friends, and I’m the only one of Envy still left on the map. They don’t insult me, but tell me that they didn’t have “beef” with me, as I didn’t start the fight. Of course, all this nobility and self-control on their part may just be an act, but you never know.

Long story short, my guild leaders were extremely immature, and this put them in a really bad light for me. I really don’t understand how they can be so nice to certain people, but then mean and nasty to others, that they don’t even know.
