My sis and I have been playing this game, Flyff, for about 3 days now, and it’s addictive. It’s a bit less grinding than MS, seeing as the monsters consistently change, and they’re all around, not just right in front of you.

Another upside is the lack of hackers. I have never seen one in the three days I’ve been here, and it’s all been good and fine. Also something else I’ve enjoyed is the fact that everyone is generally non-‘n00b’. Sure, there are a bunch of illiterate folks, and a bunch of folks that don’t even speak English, but nobody yells at you when you bump into a monster that isn’t yours for killing. I noticed the fact that there IS no curse filter, but surprisingly, no one cusses, except for a few spouts when you die. It’s really nice to type out a super long sentence and not have a filter tell you there’s some curse hidden in there.

One of my favorite aspects of the game is flying. Once you get to 20, you can fly wherever you like, and the graphics are really breathtaking. ^^

One of the biggest downsides for me though has been the fact how uptight and un-friendly people are to newbies and to party members. For instance, lag in this game is almost unavoidable. Being a full support assist (Think of a non-attacking, only healing/boosting cleric for you non-Flyffians), I need to be in a party at all times to level, and when you first join, everything seems fine. Everyone is nice, until something like a lag happens and someone accidentally dies, (you try trying to heal 3 people at once, when they’re all spread out), everyone starts flaming you and yelling about how I’m supposed to be a support. Then I usually get booted, and rest is non-existent for us. Us support assists need rest, since our MP runs out fast, and we regain it quickly if we sit down, but party members tend to get very angry if I sit down. So, to solve that problem, I just stay with my sister, who’s a full intelligence magician, which means she does the most damage in the game, but has the least HP, that’s why she needs me. (I love having a sister for a best friend. XD)

Overall, this game is really nice. The controls are confusing at first, especially if you’re accustomed to MapleStory.

On another matter, I must speak about the drama on this site. When I started here, there was no drama. No one fighting, no one saying someone’s blog sucked. I really think we should all learn to be a little less critical of each other and a little more open.

Sure it’s in beta, and the translations are so bad, it makes me laugh. But.. looking for a break from the hackers and noobs of MS? Then this is the game for you.
