Hackers. Seems to be a hot topic these days. People ranting and complaining about hackers disrupting the game and other who complain about the GM’s not doing their job. Of course these days with the increase of hackers running around and a lot of people running into them frequently makes some people wonder if these so called GM’s are doing their job at all.

Have any of you ever been a GM before? Nope.
Do you know how many GM’s there are total? Nope.
Do you have any idea how many reports a GM gets in a day? Probably not.

So why are people complaining that GM’s aren’t doing their job? Clearly they are its just that these hackers just create new accounts and such and then we’re back to square one. Now on the other hand Wizet is trying to implement something that’s clearly impossible: Rid of hackers. I think that banning them is a good way to rid of them but on the other hand like i stated above they just create more accounts and continue their deed. 2 things should be done by Wizet if they’re ever to counter attack hackers.

1) Hire more Staff for GM’s. Of course it will cost money to pay them but at least they can moderate the over 1 million players that exist.

2) Ban IP addresses. This will prevent these hackers (temporarily) from creating new accounts to continue hacking. Of course we all probably beleive in second chances so we ban them the first time round and if they continue to break the rules IP ban time.

If these two suggestions are met Wizet has a much better chance at achieving their goal of defeating hackers, or at least give them the idea of what Wizet will do to get rid of them.

Now there is not way to get rid of hackers completely of course and Wizet knows that but at least they are doing their best to prevent incidents. Now i’ve heard people claim that by attacking the vac monsters that they could get the blame put on them for taking advantage of the illegal activity. Well if that’s the case then its stupid. That’s like being at the scene of someone who got shot and you call the police to get the person medical attention and you stay there to keep them company only so the police can just simply blame you and lock you into prison even though you called them to help this person. Makes no sense. If GM’s do such a thing then its also perhaps time that Wizet begin to review how they deal with situations and possibly replace the current GM’s with one with more common sense.

Hackers don’t generally bother me but today at Cloud Park 5 on 6 different chennels i found the same vac hacker disrupting my hunting cause I wanted soft feathers to create some Steel Arrows and it just made hunting more and more painful. I know many topics exist about hackers but I figured i’d write this one to see what people think about my opinion and maybe put in some input of their own.
