New PQ I’ve been thinking of.

This is obviously the PQ that I was going to write for my other topic. Anyways, it’s for lvl 71-90 people, and is located in a place I totally made up, which can be found here: link Now then, onto the PQ itself.

A note: Once the leader has talked to the NPC, the leader will attain “Scarab Earrings” which will allow him/her to read the inscriptions on the tablets located on every stage. Without the earrings, the tablets won’t make sense at all. Communication, and teamwork are MANDATORY in this PQ. In addition to the earrings, the NPC will give you a “Power Glyph” which will be used shortly.

Hidden street: Forbidden Sanctum Main Corridor

Description:

After talking to the NPC, you will end up in a LARGE corridor. In the center of the map you will find a platform, with stairways on both left and right side of the platform leading up to a statue of the pharoah. All around the statue of the pharoah will be pieces missing; there are a total of 7 pieces missing, 6 of the pieces are hieroglyphics that represents the 6 elements of MAPLE STORY (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Holy, Poison, Heal). A human NPC will be residing at the BOTTOM of the stairwell, directly underneath the statue/directly in the middle of the map; talking to the NPC will take you out of the PQ. The whole room is lighted by glowing torches throughout the walls of the map. There are 3 stone doors to the left of the center platform, and 3 stone doors to the right of the center platform, each with a SPECIFIC hieroglyphic (each hieroglyphic represents an element) at the top of each door. The first time you step into the map, you end up in the center of the map, right under the huge statue of the pharoah.

ROOM LAYOUT:

Fire—–Ice—–Lightning—–Statue—–Holy—–Poison—–Heal

Procedure:

First off, there really isn’t much you can do in this room, as all the corridors are blocked off by stone doors. In order to open the door to the first stage (Fire Corridor) you must insert the “Power glyph” into the chest of the statue, which will result in the Fire door opening. Also note that for every glyph you place back on the statue will open the next door.

Hidden street: Forbidden Sanctum<Stage 1>

Description:

This is the first stage of the PQ, and it’s one of the harder ones. What this stage requires is TEAMWORK, that’s it. Like the Zakum PQ, this stage will be divided into AREAS (although not as many as Zakum PQ ). As I said before, this stage requires a lot of teamwork. Why you ask? Well, EVERYONE in the party has a role in this stage.

Procedure:

In the center of the stage will be a large stone door with markings on it. On the far right of the stage will be a switch in the floor that a party member has to step on in order to open the central door; however, that party member MUST remain ON the switch until the PARTY LEADER goes into the central door, then they may get off. Once the party leader is inside the central corridor, he will end up in a small room, with another door down the staircase, and a switch to the left of you where you enter. The party leader must then step onto the switch, which will trigger 5 doors in the main room to open. At that moment, the rest of the party must SPLIT up and go into their own individual rooms. AFTER EVERYONE is in their own rooms, the party leader may get off the switch, thus closing the doors.

Okay, now this is the part where I split the tasks, because if I just put them all into a huge paragraph, it’ll get confusing. Here is a map of the main room for reference:

Now here’s a map of the chambers: (everyone’s, except leader’s chamber)

Legend:
D=Door you came from
D*=Door that unlocks after the puzzle is finished
(A)1, (A)2, (A)3, (A)4= labelled switches that you’re supposed to press

*There are 4 switches in each party member’s chamber, except the leader’s. *There are 5 rooms in this stage, which corresponds to a letter (A-1, B-1, C-1, D-1, E-1, etc)

*In each of the leader’s chambers, there will be a STONE TABLET that will tell you the combination to open the next door (I will explain what I mean by “combination” later). This will repeat 5 times, and once that is done, all the doors unlock.

Now, here are the combinations (I will do an example to help you understand how it will work).

EXAMPLE: Let’s say one of the stone tablets says, “A-3” “B-2” “C-1” “D-1” “E-3”. Now, the party members must step on the corresponding switches to open the door in the leader’s chamber. This repeats 5 times in total.

Now, the answers:

ROOM 1: A-1, B-1, C-4, D-3, E-2
ROOM 2: A-4. B-2. C-1, D-1, E-1
ROOM 3: A-1, B-3, C-3, D-4, E-4
ROOM 4: A-2, B-4, C-4, D-1, E-2
ROOM 5: A-3, B-4, C-2, D-2, E-3

*Maybe they should be randomized >_<

Once this is all complete, the leader will get to the final room, press the switch at the last room, and open up all the other doors. The party goes out the other door, and meets up with leader. Go up the platform to get the “Fire Glyph” and be teleported back to the main room.

After getting the fire glyph, your whole party will be teleported back to the main room; you will end up at the fire stone door. Walk up to the statue and drop the fire glyph on his left leg, which will cause the leg to glow red, and opens the ice stone door. Now begins the second stage of the PQ.

BUT BEFORE I WRITE ABOUT THE NEXT STAGE

My friend and I came up with an idea for the boss. Seeing that I have almost no clue what the second stage is going to be about, I might as well write about the boss (as I already know how it’s going to work out). So lets begin.

PQ Boss: Spirit of the Pharoah (No name currently)

Now, unlike other bosses in Maple Story (Zakum, Papulatus, etc) this boss acts differently. First of all, when you first see it, you can tell that it bears a resemblance to the statue in the main corridor; anyways moving on. This boss has several forms to take down before actually being destroyed.

The boss has 6 main forms, each having more hp/mp as the battle goes on. The boss, when you first encounter it, is in normal mode. Right away, he will cast a spell, making his body emit a coloured aura. The colour code goes as follows:

Fire: Red
Ice: Light Blue
Poision: Dark Green
Lightning: Yellow
Heal: Light green
Holy: White

Each of these auras tell you two things: One, his elemental attribute: He will use skills related to that element; Two, he is resistant to that element. Of course, that’s not all; there is one more thing that you will have to take into mind. After killing off the first body, the pharoah will fall to the ground, and DEPENDING on what ELEMENT PHASE he was on, a part of his body will start to glow. This is YOUR chance to TAKE it out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

For example, if the pharoah was in fire phase, and you take his hp down to 0, the pharoah will fall to the ground, and his LEFT LEG’s GLYPH will start to glow RED. At this point, you have a set amount of time to take it out with any weapon (it is resistant to fire attacks though); it shouldn’t be a problem at all, it doesn’t have much hp. After taking it out, the pharoah regenerates and becomes stronger (not by much though). After you have taken out the glyph of a certain element, the pharoah will not use it again. Repeat these steps until you have beaten him.

THERE YOU HAVE FINISHED THE PQ, ENJOY THE BONUS STAGE…

Now, after beating the pharoah, you’re thinking: “It’s all over.” Well, let me just say, yes. It is over….if you’ve finished the PQ in than 45 minutes. Yes, that’s right, there is MORE. If you’ve beaten the PQ in less than 45 minutes, instead of being teleported to the bonus stage, you will be teleported to a new map. The pharoah’s body, or what’s left of it, is back for on final showdown. This is the strongest form out of all of them. It is resistant to every element, but other than that, it’s the same as the other forms. After taking down the main body, the “Power Glyph–Soul Glyph” in the chest of the pharoah will glow. Destroy it, and the whole body will crumble into ashes.

Now, what is the point of this you ask? Well, if you beat the final form of the pharoah, it will drop random weapons/scrolls for your party. I have yet to come up with a list of drops, but meh. Also, I have yet to come up with the STATS of the boss >_<.

  1. not to burst your bubble but kms already has a pq for lvl 70-100 i think not sue on level requires but they did make a new pq

  2. Yeah if I’m correct it’s Orbis pq. The boss is a gigantic star fairy wearing specs. I guess mages will not be popular there as star pixies are known to have excellent magic defense.
