The Sin and The Cleric – Ch 11

Chapter 11- The Unwinding Path of Destiny

It has begun… Neo’s voice echoed in my mind as i walked out of the house, wearing a blue napoleon that hid my face and calaf.

I held my cromi from my belt tightly while walking through the snow covered town of El Nath. A priest and a hunter passed me by I felt the air get thicker as I walked to the Icy Valley.

Neo… i’m coming to get you…

“Wait!” A young voice echoed behind me and as i turned a young female archer landed on her knees in front of me. “Ppop! Please help me! Its King! Hes gone to the Icy Valley!!”

“Rogue… I was heading there myself. Don’t worry, I’ll get King back. And don’t tell anyone that i’m going alone. You understand?” I spoke without looking at her on the ground crying.

“Thank you Pop…”

After our little meeting i teleported past the Jr. Yetis and Pepe, until i had reached a tiny camp near a cavern leading into the dark cave. There they had a merchants that sold soup and potions for the long journey ahead. I froze as a hooded man was inside the tent talking with a warrior. Calmly i walked in my ears trying to hear the conversation as i sat down on the rug taking out my comm.

Pretending I was typing on my comm, I out heard the conversation between the two.

“As planned we have to retreat back to the Dead Mines!” A raspy voice hissed to the other person.

“But milord we can’t let that Sin get away from us!” A younger voice that sounded familar roughly whispered back.

“Hush my apprentice! Nightsalker cannot catch up to us! Besides that if Night will not listen to me then perhaps he will listen to the hostage we have… But for the moment, come my young apprentice… your future awaits by my side as we take over the world!”

The merchant walked over with a bowl of hot red bean soup as i paid her 300 mesos, i watched the two exit the tent. My blue napoleon still hiding my face as i waited for the two to leave, my eyes were calm as i finished the soup and tossed the container in the trash. I bowed to the shop keeper taking what pots they had for me as i followed the footsteps that led to the cave.

Ahead of me, I saw the prisoner and hostage who was in fact King. I frowned holding my anger inside, walking still behind them, my hands shook the cromi as my grip tightened. When we walked towards the Dead Mine, I saw Night waiting above, holding his kumbi in hand. He backflipped down, prepared to throw the stars at the two men.

“I won’t let you escape Neo…” He frowned as he talked with the hooded man. “Not this time. You’re going to pay for hurting innocent people!”

“Apprentice?” Neo’s raspy voice spoke to the warrior. “Show him our hostage.”

The lvl 60 Sin unveiled the hostage buy taking off the hood from his face. It was indeed King, his face brused up and his clothes tore. Night stared in utter shock as King could barely stand and I frowned.

“Let him go! This is our fight! No need in bringing hostages you dirty cheater!” Night roared with anger at Neo.

I couldn’t stand just watching there any longer so, I teleported behind Neo and charged a holy arrow.

“Let him go…” I whispered behind his head as Neo froze.

The Sin turned at me and gasped in utter shock, as the charging holy arrow aimed for Neo’s head. His was ShadowZein. My mind scanned for long forgotten memories of Shadow, for he was my first lover. I frowned and aimed again at Neo’s head. King’s beaten face looked at me, as he mouthed the words ‘Kill me’. I froze as the hood slide down my head and showed my face. Night, Neo, and Shadow gasped as they saw me.

“Ppop?!” They yelled in unison, shocked that i was the hooded figure.

“Shadow! Enough of this! kill him!!!” Neo’s voice echoed as shadow took out a sharp mokbi and began to stab king.

Night threw his kumbi trying to hit ShadowZein, but as it flew Shadow dodged and it hit King right in the heart. The wound was deep and i knew that it penitrated his marine shadow.

“P-Ppop… Tell Rogue… I’ll… Always… love… her…” In his dying breath King fell to the floor and slept the eternal dream that we called death.
