Being Stalked, Need Advice

Okay. So I haven’t been too active on MMO Tales since my first post, but I’d been thinking about posting another entry. It was going to be a happy one, with silly anecdotes about my golden pig Gohi, who makes the most *embarrassing* sounds for the poop command, but unfortunately this isn’t a happy blog.

In fact, I am freakin’ scared. And I need some help.

I typed up a suuuper long entry for this, even longer than what I have here, and it sounded really wanky so I went back and edited it because I don’t want to be wankful. I just want to get this guy to stop. What happened was this: I reported and defamed a hacker named DaRkCaG25xD. (I don’t like hackers. I could go into a billion reasons why, but that’s not the point of this post, so please don’t flame my comments with “hacker v. legit” arguments.) But then things got ugly. This dude started harassing me big time — stalking me with all of his mules and pretty much being an a*s.

It’s like he’s stuck on a vengeful defame spree. DaRkCaG25xD also said that he would continue to stalk me tomorrow and defame me again. Not only that, but he started following my buddy/guildmate GetaBoushi and doing the same and added that he would do it to everyone he found from my guild (SOSdan).

I’m pretty sure that he’s using some kind of tracing program to stalk us. Do those even exist? I’ve no clue because I don’t use any “third party programs” with MS, but somehow he’s able to track us down within five minutes or so. Even if I’m on a different channel. Even if I scroll to a completely different locale. (For example, I scrolled to Henesys from the Excavation Site and then trekked it over to Amoria, and he showed up a few minutes later hot on my heels. O_O)

What makes this all the more difficult is that he doesn’t speak English. He was talking to me in Spanish, which I can read/understand pretty well but not speak beyond basic sentences. So it’s impossible to reason with the guy.

I probably sound like a silly girl being scared like this of a virtual stalker, but I truly am freaked out. @_@ Not to mention that DaRkCaG25xD and his legion of mules are seriously ruining my enjoyment of the game. Please offer some advice on what I should do! (Real advice, not “You got what you deserved” because no one deserves to be harassed.) I would greatly appreciate it.

[Edit: …Oh, yeah, screen caps are from my mate, GetaBoushi. I was so scared by the hacker-stalker that I didn’t even take caps, which sucks because I’m sure that would help my case against him.]

[Edit2: Thanks, guys, for all ther helpful suggestions! Killing and torturing sounded really tempting, but I think laying low sounded like the best. I’ll just hope that he has a short attention span and isn’t a psycho completely bent on ruining my Maple experience!]

    Defame him back. Ask in spanish why he is doing this.

    Or do what I might do, USE YOUR GUILD TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.

    Well, he told me that he’s defaming me because I did it to him first since he was hacking and all. If only my guild were more active. Right now it’s filled with my younger relatives, and they haven’t been playing too much recently. >:O Thanks for the input, though. I’m trying to prepare some spanish phrases for when I log on next.

  6. He is simply /find-ing you
    If you didn’t know, you can type /find personsname and itll show where they are.
    Ex.
    /find blah
    blah is at Bera-19
    *Cc’s to channel 19*
    /find blah
    blah is at Burnt Land I
    yea, for a full list of /whatever, type in /?
    and just log out and start playing another character or go on basil or write a few blogs for a while. he will eventually forget you, hopefully.

  7. He’s probably using /find to find you. ‘S a built-in find command, so tracking people isn’t too hard.

    Hmm. What I’d do is, get on another char on a different server and play him for about a week, and then hope the guy forgets about you.

    Or maybe you are marvelling at how quickly the guy gets to you. That is one stalker skill that will cost you 100 mil mesos to-

    Oh. Er. Ignore that.
    Trust me, if a stalker really wants to, they can get to you pretty quickly on Maple. Just lay off the Maple for a bit, and his short attention span will do the rest.

    such as speed and all those. . .
    and it’s very easy to go from excavation site to amoria, a return scroll to henesys would do the trick
