Back on MS

Wow. I hadn’t visited this site since, like, forever! (And probably have not been on MapleStory for just as long, and that’s saying something.) Boy, do I feel glad to be back here, reading blogs!~ It’s almost as good as reading fanfics! XD

I haven’t played on my Scania character for almost a year and a half, and so she was semi-permanently stuck at level 63. That is, until I decided, out of boredom, to try and play MS again, and checked the forums; it was only then that I found out about the server roll-back, and I just had to check things out to see whether anything of mine got lost. Thank goodness all things were safe.

Then the announcement came that the 2x event was taking place… at that moment! I just had to log onto my character to play some. =P After logging in, I noticed that I was expelled from my guild – no surprise there, I haven’t signed in that character for over a year, though I am a little sad that I will probably not see any one of my guild members around. They were fun people.

I was at a lost about what to do. There were some new maps that I haven’t been to – Korean Folk Town and Mu Lung. And I had a HUGE list of new quests to do, and so I decided to go along and start the quests, and go exploring along the way. Some of the quests were really boring, especially that one where we had to find 300 sacks of rice. Ugh, I’m pretty sure I killed over 1.5k of those little buggers, I had all those sunflower seeds to prove it after all. X_X And those melting cheese, yeesh, I can’t even use them, and I have 180 of those sitting in my mule, waiting for me to sell them to some other players, which I’ll have to look for myself, since it appears they can’t be put in BasilMarket at this time…

Korean Folk Town is really pretty, and I guess I rather like how they incorporated some folk tales into the quests, and designed monsters according to them; those monsters are quite pleasing to the eyes, I wouldn’t mind killing hordes and hordes of them. XD Oh, and I’m so happy that we don’t HAVE to take the train from Orbis to Ludi now, and instead, we can now go through Aqua Road and into Korean Folk Town, thereby going to Ludi. I really didn’t like that 10+ minutes wait on the train.

Mu Lung was… interesting, to say the least. I love those pandas!! The design there is very Chinese-like too. (I think that was the point.) Those lower level monsters are not much to look at, but I love those monkeys!! (Even though the map + monkeys made the place a little too pink for my eyes; they hurt after I stare at the screen for about 15 minutes.) Hunting for those pages from Book Ghosts were painful. Why can’t the drops be easier? I spent so long in there!

As a result of this 2x EXP event, I had leveled from level 63, 80% all the way to level 65, 53%. Yes, I’m happy. I even spent nearly 3 hours shopping for new equipments! That was painful too. But I am happy to find a +6 INT earring for 6.5mil, even though I have NO CLUE if that’s cheap or not. There’s also that Brown Requierre that I bought off of this nice Assasin for a measly 150k! She’s so nice. Then there was a Dark Infinium Circlet going for 200k, and I just had to get it! Of course, I needed a new weapon too, since my Thorns can’t really suffice at this point in time, and so I bought this +5 INT, 92 MAtt Evil Wings for 5mil on BasilMarket; I think it was pretty cheap, seeing as most +6 INT and up (that I’ve seen) has a jump to 9+mil, which I can barely afford, and I still need to get the rest of the items for level 70, when I EVENTUALLY get there. So now all the shopping I need is the shoes and the gloves, and then I’m all set for 3rd job (save the actual level, that is)! ^_^

I’ve gotten quite a bit of drops as well, probably because 2x drops was happening as well, and so I’m really happy. I found some really nice items (77Att Asianic Bow! ^_^), hopefully after selling all those equipments and scrolls, I’ll partially get back the 11mil that I used up buying the items. I liked looking at my mesos.

Anyways, this event was pretty awesome as a sort of “welcoming party” back onto MS, and besides the couple of ksers (okay, there were A LOT of ksers and rude people), it was an overall very good experience (pun intended!). I even made some new friends!~ Yay, because all of my old friends are, like, gone… onto different servers, or they downright quit, and that’s depressing.

I like Bob.

  1. Hehe. Looking at your mesos is a good pastime *-* I do that too, it makes me feel like it’s real money or something.

  2. 133 337 mesos. Heh, somehow, I earned that much without even checking them, without dropping any. Funny eh? I should’ve SSed it for proof.
