Getting into PQ….

This whole week I’ve tried Ludi PQing between 6-10pm on the weekdays. I live in the USA, and 6-10pm are when the majority of people play. What was it like, and who did I PQ with?? STUPID leaders, people spamming “NOOB”, 30 minutes to a whole HOUR of “cc” “track?” “wait” “no” “stage 5 CLICK!!” “HURRY!!” But the most disappointing thing of all, I didn’t finish a single PQ

I learned a valuable lesson this week. If you are not serious about PQing, then 6-10pm on the weekdays is PERFECT for you. However, if you really want to make it to level 50 through PQing, it does take a little serious work.

First off – PQ when nobody is around. Right after the server check, 1-3, 3-5 or 5-7am in the morning was usually my best time to PQ. In the 30 minutes or 1 hour I spend PQing in a bizarre hour, I get more EXP and drops than the 3 hour waitfest during peek times. My 12 capes are a testament to this.

Second – PQing with NOOBS. Aside from the madness of Stage 8, I’ve soloed Rombards, Blocktopi, survived with 1 person dying, and even soloing Alishar with my Level 43 Assasin AND Page. With enough eyedrops, holy waters, and pots, getting 2K+ is usually a regular occurance for me.

I wanna spend more time writing more about this. But seriously, if you’ve ever waited 30 minutes for a PQ, that’s WAAAAY too long already. 2-5 minutes is best, and this is ONLY achieved regularly when playing off hours. I don’t mean to make delinquents out of anybody, but if you gotta get something done, you might as well do it right.

  1. I only PQ past 1 am, it’s safe then. We all know idiots have a strict 10 pm curfew.

But I have waited up to an hour for a PQ, and not even surfing. Some buddies of mine tried to assemble a decent PQ team, and we were able to finish several around 2 am one night. We even finished Alishar with four 35s, and our cleric had died due to a freak accident involving a level 40 Hunter(NOT me), three Rombots and hundreds of Block Golems. So I don’t PQ with people I don’t know anymore, nor do I PQ all that often,

Despite all the levels your team may have between them, nothing can overpower a bit of teamwork, not even a dead cleric.

  2. I usually PQ right when I wake up, early on the weekends.
Got to 59% in 2 hours over a weekend. I’m happy.

  3. Haha :]]
That’s why I almost never ludi PQ, unless it is near nighttime. ^^
    I know how you feel.
I think I have only seen Alishar once out of my five – seven PQs.

  4. On the East, you PQ really early in the morning. On the West, you PQ really late at night. If you live in the Central time zones, well, you’re screwed.
