TMW: Eps. 6; TKP Time!

Okay from now on TMW stands for The Maple War; I got sort of lazy and decided it would leave more room for the chapter name. For now, on with the story! Oh yeah, last story, when I said “Sitting Bull”, I meant “Rising Moose”. Sorry for the typo on my part!

Hiding in a tree like a monkey, TKPenguin saw everything; the fight, the arrows, the decapitation. Even though Dark Lord was no friend of his, TKP lost his teacher, his sensei. He couldn’t believe his eyes; these Screaming Hawks were not easy foes. TKP began to wonder how he could stop the enemy..

Twang!

TKP was shot in the leg with an arrow. Apparently Hawkeye had seen or heard TKPenguin and shot at him. Luckily, the arrow wasn’t poisoned. Suddenly, Hawkeye appeared right next to him.
“Why hello my little bandit friend. Spying on your little leader so late?” said Hawkeye mockingly.
“Shove it, whoever the hell you are. You killed my sensei, and for that you shall pay,” TKPenguin said after he spat in Hawkeye’s face.
“Hehehe! You think you can kill me? You weak little bandit? Huh? Well take this!”
Hawkeye pushed TKP out of the tree, it was a long way down, but TKPenguin used his thief skills to land nicely, while taking little damage. Before TKP even reached the ground, Rising Moose spotted him, and got his poison Javelins ready. Hawkeye already had notched an arrow to his bow.
“Don’t move, scum,” whispered Rising Moose. “I won’t hurt you, yet.”
“I’m not going to believe some enemy, Moosie. Now let me go or prepare to face your doom!” shouted TKP as he pulled out his Wagner and his Korean Fan.
Hawkeye suddenly burst out laughing. “AHAHAHA! Face my doom eh? Well take this!” Hawkeye launched two Javelins, aiming for TKP’s face. TKPenguin did a back roll and dodged the Javelins, but Rising Moose was already on him with his Devil’s Sunrise, preparing to slice his head off.
“Now, you’re lucky. I’m going to let you go. Run, flee back home, coward,” said Rising Moose with his eyes closed.

“You’re going to wish you had killed me now, cowards. Because one day, I will kill you both. Your days are numbered, scum.” Those were the final words of TKPenguin at the forest. He vanished in to thin air, and arrived back at the camp, which was called Fort Snake (forgot to mention that earlier sorry). “Thank God for nearest town scrolls,” muttered TKP as he ran back to his room, getting ready for a long sleep.

There was a large assembly of thieves and mages at Fort Snake. There were chief bandits and hermits guarding the perimeter it was so important. At the head of the assemble of people were Grundull (the new leader of the mages) and the best thief next to Dark Lord, Thief. His name was simply Thief, which was an honor to have. The original name meant that he was one of the first in the Maple World. Thief was a lvl 142 hybrid, so he could wield daggers and claws; he was extremely skilled with both weapons. Grundull was the first to speak. “Eon Snakes, we have just received grave news; the body of Dark Lord was found deep in the forests nearby with his head cut off. This means that none of the original job leaders remain. As the new genration, we MUST lead our jobs to victory. That is why I, ruler of all that is Mage, announce that Thief is the new leader of Thieves! Congratulate your new leader!”

The whole area erupted with applause. Thief stood there smiling, accepting his new role. When he was asked to comment on this, he shook his head. “I have no comments,” he said in a somewhat gruff voice. TKP was in the back of the crowd, so he wasn’t able to see Thief very well. He turned around and walked back to his training zone.

TKP had been killing all sorts of different monsters from the Monster Machine, a cruel yet effective device which captured strong monsters, tied them up, and brought them forward to trainers, where they could kill them without getting touched. His brain was getting numb, his gloves extremely sweaty, and his blue hair not gelled up anymore. Suddenly, Lauren the mage mail girl came in the room. “Hi TK! Looks like you’re working pretty hard there! Well, Thief wanted to talk to you. Quite an honor it must be!”
“Thanks, Lauren. I’m so tired right now though. I’m not sure if I can look decent enough for Thief,” replied TKP.
“That’s okay! Lemme give you a massage!” exclaimed Lauren.
“Hehe, if you insist,” said TKP

After his long massage, TKP ran to Thief’s room. It was guarded by a lvl 80 chief bandit, but TKP said that Thief wanted to see him, personally. After explaining a bit about why TKP couldn’t visit Thief, the guard said, “Sorry Son, but he’s the new ruler. God knows who’s plotting to kill him next.” Quickly, Thief came out of the door.
“It’s quite alright Kyle, I invited young TK here,” said Thief with a smile.
“Oh! Go right in, Sir!”

Thief invited him to his huge room. It was the biggest, most luxorious room TKP had ever set foot on. There was a huge wide-screen TV in one corner with all the game systems, movies, and movie players TKPenguin had ever seen. There was a cozy-looking fireplace in the wall, with couches surrounding it. Thief sat down on a couch and said, “Please sit down, Captain TKPenguin. And help yourself to some cookies or candies.” Thief smiled as he pointed to a table with jars of cookies and candies in them. TKP was a bit nervous, but sat down anyway (and took a choco chip cookie), his sweaty blue hair getting in his eyes. He quickly pulled it back and gelled it.
“Sorry I look indecent, sir. I just finished my training,” said TKP as he felt his face turn red. His cookie was crumbling all over the carpet! TKPenguin tried to imagine the picture he was giving his new sensei!
“It’s quite alright. Now the reason I brought you here was to discuss you, and your unit. After looking through some papers and strategies, I noticed that you are in the “Fodder Unit” or something along those lines. Dark Lord assigned that unit to you, and you were branded a traitor.”
“Yes sir, I’m the captain of it, and I also killed a thief. It was in self-defense though,” said TKPenguin glumly.
“Well, I’ll have you know, I have permanently removed that unit. I now make you in charge of a new unit!” exclaimed Thief. He seemed pretty happy about the new idea.
“New unit, sir? But what is it called?” asked TKP.
“The name? It’s the Penguin Unit, named after you! All your troops have moved to that unit as well, and I’m assigning 6 new mages and thieves to join it! C’mon in guys!” Thief beckoned towards the door. 4 thieves and 2 mages came in.
“Go ahead and introduce yourself to your new captain, people,” said Thief, showing a smile.

The strongest of them all, a lvl 57 female cleric stepped forward. “I’m oAznClerico sir. Sorry about the dumb name, I was a noob at the time. Please call me Elisa.”
Next, a lvl 53 Assassin jumped forward, landing right beside Elisa. “Yo, I’m narutox28, sorry about the dumb name as well. Just call me Jeremy.” When Jeremy landed near Elisa, TKP noticed that he had lots of potential. Maybe a legend even.
Third, a lvl 49 Assassin walked forward. “Pleased to meeeeeeetcha, buddy. My name is Lance. Funny name for a sin eh? But no worries, I use claws.” TKPenguin smiled, Lance reminded him of Steeisin.
Fourth, a quiet little bandit stepped forward. “Uh, I’m Serra. I like to use knives.” She looked up at TKPenguin with red eyes, and smiled, showing filed teeth. TKPenguin threw up in his mouth.
The second last was a very small kid, his clothes too big for him. “Hey hey! I’m Alecks, the bandit. Weird name, I know, ain’t my fault,” he said with a smile.
Finally, a lvl 43 cleric teleported forward. He was sort of chubby, and his eyes shone with happiness. “HEY! I’m Sniggles, call me Aidan. I can heal stuff. Hey! Is that candy!?” Aidan ran towards the table with candy and cookies on it. “Yummy! Ooh! Delicious!”

“Uhhh, right you are, Aidan,” said Thief. “Now, go get training! Aidan! Aidan! Stop eating the table!”
“Whoops, sorry, ran out of cookies, hehe.”
The entire group of people laughed, except Serra, the weird bandit.

TKPenguin took a liking to the new group, liking them much better than his old unit (even though they were okay). These people actually had a personality! TKPenguin couldn’t wait to tell his other unit members that they weren’t known as the Fodder Unit anymore! The group equipped their weapons and armors at their rooms, then ran to the training zone. Today was going to be fun; today’s monsters were tied up Kargos!

In a locker in someone’s room, Alisharakazam, one of TKPenguin’s old troops from the Fodder Unit, lay dead, his throat slit. In the room, two buff warriors stood, stealing Ash’s treasures. One of them pulled out a walkie talkie and said, “Base infiltrated, sir. We took one of the weakling’s out, as well.”
A voice from the walkie talkie replied, in a deep, evil voice, “Excellent. . .”
