The Maple War, Prologue

Yeah I know there’s a few Maple War stories out there, but I really wanna write one of my own.

The Council of the Jobs had commenced. The leader of the archers asked for an alliance with all of the warriors. The warriors agreed, and the two jobs lived peacefully. After the alliance was made, the bowmen stated that the Henesys economy was dropping quickly, and they needed more than one town to satisfy their needs. All of the jobs, including the Beginners, denied this insane request to give up one of their beloved cities. The bowmen envied everyone else, the warriors with their rugged (but very easy to defend) Perion, those mages with their mystical Ellinia, the thieves with their huge city Kerning, and even the Beginners, with their Maple Island high in the sky.

The bowmen needed money. Not just that, they needed power. Everyone favored the other jobs over the bowmen, and they were called “boring” and “hard to level”. The leader of all bowmen, Athena Pierce, was killed in battle against Crimson Balrogs, so a new leader was in charge; Athena’s brother, Hawkeye. Hawkeye was a brutal leader, and very unresponsible. Thanks to him, Henesys’ economy was down the drain. But Hawkeye had a plan…

One month after the Council of the Jobs, the bowmen attacked Ellinia in the night. Hawkeye led the attack, and they killed Grendel the Really Old in his sleep, slitting his throat with a broadsword. The fairies spotted this, and they woke up all the mages to defend their hometown. The mages defeated the bowmen, but it was a close battle, both sides receiving many casualties. The bowmen retreated and told the warriors that if they helped them take over the mages and the thieves, they would receive half of the income and power. The leader of the warriors, Rising Moose, agreed, and named their new faction the “Screaming Hawks”. The old leader of the warriors was killed by werewolves on his small expedition, leaving his cousin Rising Moose in charge.

Knowing that they were in trouble, the thieves allied with the mages, and since there were the most mages and thieves than any other job, they knew this would not be an easy battle for the bowmen and warriors. Dark Lord, the only surviving original leader of the jobs, named their new faction the “Eon Snakes”. The Eon Snakes were ready to defend their homes. They would fight to the very last man if need be.

War was at hand. One that would not only affect the four jobs, but the whole Mapling world…

So that’s my prologue. I’ll write Part 1 tomorrow maybe, if I feel like writing.
