Okay, there’s something that struck me, recently. Suddenly, in-game and on this site, I start hearing about “maple daddies” and “maple daughters”. I just learned about them the other day in-game when my good buddy Vulgar (AKA Addison) said something to me in Maple. The conversation went as follows. . . (and yes he does use perfect English in-game, the little nerd)
Addison: ROFL
Me: what?
Addison: Some guy said he’s gonna get his “Maple Daddy” to defame me.
Me: what the hell is that?
Addison: I dunno, really. Sounds sorta nerdy if you ask me.
By now a friend of mine (Ruben) eavesdropped and took place in the conversation.
Ruben: oh yea maple families
Me: ruben you know about ’em too?
Ruben: yea ppl start em like just for fun and like pretend ppl are their daddies and stuff
Addison: Lol here’s the Maple Daddy, it turns out he defamed me.
Addison: ROFL he’s giving me a li’l talk too about how KSing is mean.
Addison: What a responsible father.
Me: imma look into this
Ruben didn’t have much info about Maple Families, so I couldn’t get the whole scoop. But Detective TKP always finds an answer to a mystery! *eats a tiny bread in a mysterious fashion*
Can’t get enough of them tiny breads. . . well! Anyway, I would like it if you guys told me what exactly these odd Maple Families are. Plenty of details are needed, like how they are started, what you do when you are a Maple whatever, etc. And of course, after I get enough “evidence” *cough* I can make a full report on these mysterious families. I shall be gathering intel both in-game and other places, but I need the most help here! I make no promises, but I have a feeling I will get to the bottom of this mystery~! But I need your help! The maple “son” was probably a noob.And that’s prolly how they met. The person was being a noob and begging and the other guy was like “OMG I feel sry for u!”. So yeah.

Sister : They are the hypermaniac ones in the family, X_____x they talk about EVERYTHING and they start conversations between the families,
Brother: they are the ones with the bling bling $____$ do NOT ask me why, it just seems like so far, those families i’ve seen, the bros are the MILLIONAIRES, no, or even the GAZILIONAIRES, $$$$$$$
Cousins: not to be harsh, but people you don’t really talk to but want to be in the family will be sorted in the cousinz section
Twins: usually girls, they either just really look the same, have the same mother tongue and usually think what the other is thinking, (O_o)”'(O_o)”’

People are too addicted to this in the degree of making pretend families. Honestly, people will soon only relate to their maplefamilies and not their real families. Take a look into this adolescent theater-rama:

This is what would happen. Now, this”maple family” is proof that people play to the extent where reality is almost maplestory. They cannot concieve that the world of Maplestory is different to reality. Henceforth I would like to call people with maplefamilies “no lives”. Yes, they’re fond to their “maplefamilies” because of the duration of playing. So much playing they literally have computer tans. NO GOOD.
