As this is my first entry I’ll throw out a little backstory here… My character Kirichou is a little archer going hunter, and my friend’s character Asutoru is a melee rogue going bandit. We live in Khaini (sorry for not mentioning it before) and we’ve pretty much stuck together throughout all of our mapling lives, ever since beginner. Actually, that isn’t very long. But it feels like ages considering all we’ve been though…

Today I hit level 25, and I’m amazed at how big the improvement seems to be in my accuracy and damage. I can finally kill Jr. Neckis with a fair amount of ease, which means it’s about time Asutoru and I do that quest for the guard. Only five more until hunter..

Asutoru and I recently decided to invest a little in the cash shop items. When we started playing Maples initially it was meant to be a temporary vacation from all the stress we were both dealing with, but since it looks like we’re in for the long term, we figured it couldn’t hurt. He got a hair change and a pet pink bunny, which he seems to adore. I got extra slots for my etc. inventory (god knows I need them) and a blue kitty beanie. I had to get some kind of hat, because in my humble opinion the hats for the archer class look ridiculous, save for the first one which I find rather cute.

We’ve been party-questing a lot (and making a few friends in the process); today we had one PQ that was so close it was ridiculous. In the first stage one of our party members got disconnected (I really liked him too, that made me sad) and our other party member almost never spoke to us, and there were countless times he just went idle and stopped doing anything. I’m not sure what was going on; my only thought is that he was just very shy and maybe a bit clueless. But I honestly don’t know.

Anyways, by the time we finally got through the first stage we only had 10 minutes left, and as the highest level in our party was 26, we were in a bit of trouble. Through a ton of rushing, potion spamming, and a way-too-long fight with king slime, we finished the quest– with two seconds to go.

The sigh of relief was heard throughout the whole channel. Man, that was intense.

On a sidenote, the anniversary event is a bit obnoxious in my opinion. The candles do more damage than they should considering some of the places they’re put. I’m glad I’m not starting a new character right now; that must be tough on the young ones.
