Silk Road Glavie Massacre

The potion shop needed the poison from the Water Ghosts. As if killing fifty of them before wasn’t cutting their numbers down enough. Seeing how they would love to see me again, I decided to do a good deed and cure others of poison by visiting these swamp beasts once again. Before that, I had come into a small fortune and decided to stock up on some new jewelry and the glove of what I would need later on. I then mounted my steed and started towards the swamp north of Jangan.

The trip itself was not too eventful. My horse was quite scared of the weak Mangyans, especially after they’re champion had tried to butcher it’s backside. The horse was motivated to run now more than ever, even though it hadn’t taken too much damage at all. Upon entering the swamp, I forced my horse to run deep into the swamp, to avoid others that had came in to just train. I dismounted and took up my glavie, ready to shove it into some nice, warm flesh.

Water Ghosts seemed to be shaking in fear as it seemed they reconized me somehow. It was either that, or intimidated to see someone much stronger than thim in the middle of there swamp arming a weapon. I picked one of the ghosts and charged at it. I found it a waste to put flame force into it or use my Wolf Bite to end it quickly. After all, this was just a weakling. After the first blow, instead of running away, it started to attack back! Apparently, this beast much rather pass away with honor than be a coward and run away to die another day at the hands of another. It was not terribly long before it feel dead into the ground. It’s blood was on my glavie, and I liked it.

Even though I took an easy victory over the first one, I had broken the jar that held the poison I was searching for, rendering the posion useless to me now. Knowing that it was dangerous to stick around this area with this soup of blood and poison. I quickly scanned the area. I wanted a little more of a challenge than these weaklings that simply couldn’t handle having metal being stabbed into their chests. My scan came to an end when I noticed a larger Water Ghost.

Jumping at the chance to have some sort of a challenged, I charge towards the champion. As I neared, I put fire into my blade and put the handle in both hands, ready to pierce right through with Wolf Bite. As soon as I readied myself to attack, the ghost decided to charge at me. The nerve of the beast! It knew it couldn’t win! None of the less, I continued with my attack. When at a sufficent striking range, I quickly stopped my self, pulled my glavie back and shoved it at the monster. I knew it wasn’t going to be much of a fight anymore. I quickly pulled my glavie back out and continued with a diagnol slash. The metal tore and the fire burned, must’ve been hell. So, it fell to the ground. Yet, this time, it’s jar didn’t break! Yes! I only needed nineteen more!

I quickly healed using magic and decided to take a go at one of the slaves. It went down far too easy, but this would have to do for now. I kept around the area, killing the closest thing that moved. It didn’t seem like I got a moment’s rest while the slaughter continued. Around my thirteenth or fourteenth, I started to get a little more lonely, only seeing enemies rather than anything of my own kind. I took out my map and found the nearest way back to the road. The mist had still not cleared by the time I was out the road, which was good, meaning I had not left the swamp entirely. I took note of a few female bowmen and some strange swordmen that seemed to have a harder trouble than I. Feeling cheerful now that my little quests was almost done, I gave arrows out to the bowmen. Seeing as I had nothing to give swordmen, I just left them alone.

Now the killing continued. By now I was just attacking any Water Ghost I saw. No using any force skills, just simply hacking at them with cold steel. Trying to avoid the targets of the bowmen seemed quite hard. While running at a few, they had started taking shots at it. Had they not seen me charging at full speed towards it? Had they not seen me preparing to end the life of the abomination with my own hands? I had been on a noble quest, yet this seemed to get harder with my new location.

Once I got the rest of the poison jars and curing the poison they had set on me with some universal pills, I mounted my stead once again. I checked the map briefly to set my horse in the right direction of the east gate of the city. Afterwards, I put the horse in full gallop. The horse was more cooperative now than ever since someone seemed to have taken out the weak Mangyang. I sooned entered the busy city streets of Jangan. Merchants selling overpriced items in the streets, other stronger warriors and thieves running about, picking up potions, weapons, or simply comming to find a good deal. I slowed my horse to a trot as the potion shop came into view. Not saying a word or dismounting, I dumped the poison jars. He thanked me and insisted I took magic recovery herbs. Well, what could I say? Could I accept them and go off thinking I had done the right thing? Could I go off thinking this was payment? Or recieve it as a gift for saving lives? Either way, I decided to put it to a noble use. I galloped out of Jangan, deciding to set up camp for a little while. It wasn’t the beasts that tired me, it was the amount of the lives I had taken. I would just cat-nap, of course, but I needed the rest. Before sleep came, I decided I would go after a harder challenge after I wake.
