Chapter 3: Darkness Risen

“Kati… I” I said watching Kati moan as she rocks on top of my best friend Jason.

“Rodney!” Kati shouted as she looked at me suprised.

“I.. I’m sorry for barging in like this” I said running down the stairs not even looking back to see if you followed. I shut the door behind me and tried to forget all about her. The next day I headed for the potion shop there I saw Kati putting away the red potions on the top shelf. Her latter was very loose causing her to fall she screamed. I quickly ran towards the shelf I caught her but banging into the wall because I couldn’t stop.

“ARGH!” I shouted in pain. My arm was damaged in the crash. The potion and stars were knocked off the shelf. I just had enough time to push Kati away but just to be hit by the star and potion glass. Everything turned black.

“Where am I?”

“Am I dead?” I saw in the distance Kati and Jason holding hands. Surronding them were children.

“Mommy!” A young girl said hugging Kati. Jason kissed Kati in the cheeks while I stood there watching. A dark hole open up under me making me fall into a bottemless pit. the air was filled with my tears as I close my eyes and wait for my death.

“Rodne…”

“Rodney…”

“RODNEY!” I woke up on a Hospital bed.

“What happened? ARGH! MY ARM!” I shouted in pain.

“Rodney! Thank goodness your ok.”

“Kati?” I said looking to the girl sitting on the chair next to me.

“What happened?” I asked

“You god badly damaged because of me” She said as she started crying.

“No it not your fault.” I told her trying to get up and faking a smile.

“But..BUT IF IT WASN’T FOR MY CLUMSYNESS YOU WOULDN’T HAVE HIT INTO THE WALL!” She yelled as tears dripped onto my bed sheets. I tried to hold her but my arm was badly injured and I couldn’t move it.

“Kati…” I quietly said. She enbraced me with a hug. It felt like she was holding on for her life.

“Rodney please don’t ever do something so stupid again” Tears dripped on my chest.

I smiled “I won’t.”

“Promise?” She asked.

“Promise” I told her. Kati’s aroma was so sweet.

“You smell nice” I told her.

“thank you” She said wearing a smile. Just then Jason walked into the room.

“Hey buddy hows it …..”

“Jason!” Kati said.

“It not what it looks like.” She told him.

“Rodney… How could you?” Jason asked.

“I… I…”

“It not his fault” Kati interrupted.

“Oh so it yours?” Jason asked angrily.

“Ye”

“NO!” I interrupted.

“It my fault I…. love her.” I said with all the courage I had. Kati’s eyes widen. Jason walked up to me.

“I will never forget this, I swear I will have revenge.” He said storming out of the room.
