You’re an Angel? – Eleven

Ch 11 – Michelle is the name.

“Well, you may turn out to be my enemy or you may not. I don’t really care because if I have to fight you I’ll win and I promise you.” Michael said.

“Ok,” she replied.

“Well, I never really loved my family. I really hated them or at least I thought I did. I was out for a while and I thought I would go for a swim in AquaRoad. Then when I got a bit deeper something grabbed my ankles. They shattered and then I got pulled underwater. The thing that pulled me underwater turned out to be an angel.”

“An angel? Oh, sorry. Carry on.” the girl said interrupting Michael.

“Then the angel healed my ankles because it turned out that it had a boss which turned out to be my father. Then they were going to send me to heaven because a bunch of guards were coming to kill me and he thought I was too weak. The guards already had killed the rest of my family. It turned out I really did love my family…it’s just that…I don’t know. The angel and I became friends. Then the guards came and I beat my opponents, but the angel didn’t. It got taken here and put in prison. That pretty much sums up why I’m here.” Michael said.

“Oh, ok. Well, don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me. What‘s your name?” she said.

“Oh, my name is Michael. What about you?” Michael asked.

“My name is Michelle.” she said.

“Well, it’s getting late. I should be leaving about now because I need rest.” Michael said sighing.

“Oh, okay.” Michelle said.

Michael and Michelle started walking in separate directions. As much as Michael wanted Michelle to come along with him she didn’t want to put her in danger.

“Come on Michael. The only person I will allow to come with me is Jake and he’s dead. Well, time to move on with life.” Michael said to himself.

The two of them were getting farther and farther away from each other. Michael was extremely disappointed that Michelle didn’t offer to help. He kept repeating what he had told himself.

“Hey Michael!” Michelle hollered.

Michael thought there was a chance. He turned around and said, “Yeah?”

“I’ve been thinking…” Michelle said.

“Yes,” Michael said starting to smile.

“Could I come along with you please?” Michelle asked.

“Sure!” Michael screamed.

Michelle came running over to Michael. He smiled as he scratched the back of his head. Michelle put her arm in front of Michael.

“Take a seat. I have a story of my own.” she said.

Michael nodded and sat down on the hard, cold ground.

“Well, my hair wasn’t always as long as it is right now and there’s a reason. My mother and father were put in prison, stealing food and potions from the shop near this tower. I cut my hair and disguised myself. One day I walked into the prison full of guards. I tried freeing my parents, but it turned out with the guards winning. I lost tons of blood and broke over ten bones. I got put in prison myself, but then I broke out three years later when I was thirteen. Then one year passed and I hung around the Orbis Tower, not showing myself in the town. I grew my hair long, so they wouldn’t recognize me. Now I keep my eye on the town and plan when I’ll strike next. The reason I was on my way to El Nath was to take a break from all of this and do a bit of planning, but I know exactly what I’m going to do.” Michelle explained in a low voice.

“What are you planning? I’m laying low until I find the angel and then I’m going to fight whoever gets in my way.” Michael whispered.

“Oh, well, that’s not what I had in mind. Well, I am a thief, so I’m good at sneaking around and I have Dark Sight. I’m going to find a key or just open the cell with my kunai if I have to. I’m not planning to fight, but I will if I have to.” she said.

“Yeah, well, let‘s get some sleep if we ever want to do this.” Michael said.

Michelle nodded and followed Michael wherever he was going to take her. He took her to a dark cave where no one lived.

“I guess here is good.” Michelle said as her voice echoed through the cold cave.

Michael nodded and entered the cave. He then realized something was missing. Then he turned to Michelle and stared at her.

“We need something to sleep on.” Michael said.

“Oh, well, I do have some pieces from that Jr. Sentinel I killed before. I have more pieces, so don’t worry. We’ll be fine. Oh, and I have some cloth for blankets.” Michelle said.

“Wow,” Michael said.

“Haha. I guess I killed the right monsters before I came here.” Michelle said.

“You sure did.” Michel replied.

After the two got ready to go to sleep Michelle was thinking. She was thinking about if she had made the right choice. Should she have waited until her parents got out of prison or should she just go save them. T

“Well, when they punished me they said they did it for my own good. They should be punished also, but they did keep me alive.” Michelle said thinking to herself.

“G’night.” Michael said.

The wasn’t a reply from Michelle because she was to busy thinking. Then she smiled and began to relax.

“The government is unfair though.” she said to herself once again.

Michelle took the cloth and wrapped herself in it to keep warm in the cold cave. She closed her eyes and began to sleep. It was tough for her to get to sleep because Michael was snoring very loud and it was keeping her awake.
