For a while, back during the Anniversary Event, I was searching for Maple Items (who wasn’t). I got angry, cause i got no special drops. 3 months of nothing. Last thing I had found was an average Mystic Shield (in 5 minutes!). However, I finally got a Bronze Scaler. 2 weeks later, I got under average Red Salt Shoes. About 15 minutes later, I got an above average Lionheart! Yay! So, sometimes, when you arent lucky, just hope one day you will be much more lucky.
