You’re a loser. And yes, I’m laughing.

Inspired by Verbose’s and udunnomyname’s blogs, along with several other blogs.

So.

Let’s talk.

Let’s talk about popularity.

I’ll go over three points-
1) What is popularity
2) Why it is desirable and why you are all right for seeking it
3) Why you still suck slash you’re embarrassing yourself with this

What is popularity?

Popularity is “the favor of the general public or of a particular group of people” [/url]

It means if the masses like you.
If you have a lot of friends.

But let’s analyze this word;
Popularity implies that if you have a lot of friends, you’re a good person. It implies that people want to be friends with you. It implies that society has the correct morales to judge someone and choose the least evil (for lack of wording to say “best”) person to deem popularity.

By that statement, I was saying. . .
If you’re popular, does that necessarily mean you’re a good person?
If you’re popular, does that not give you basic support that you are a good person?

It’s okay to want to be popular

“If there is one truth in this world, it would be that everyone is alone and afraid of being alone.”

It’s fine to want to be popular.
Is it wrong to want to have friends and a healthy social Life?
No.

According to the previous quote I made, if we’re human, we want to be loved. We want to be known. We want to have purpose.
We don’t want to be alone.

Then what’s wrong with this community?

Why popularity still sucks

There’s a difference for wanting something and what you do to get that something.

Like hacking.
We can all agree that, although the actual hacker may have the right intentions of wanting to gain levels, not having the time, getting extra money, et cetera, hacking isn’t exactly what you should do to achieve that goal.

Now using that mindset and placing it into a different situation with different morales. . .

Well, let’s think about what the community has been doing lately to gain popularity.
1) Making blogs solely about fame and popularity
2) Making blogs idolizing other figures
3) Asking for fame
4) Asking for fame multiple times
5) Complimenting those they do not know

Oh right, and readers, click on this.

Okay, now that you’ve read that and the previous information above. . .
How valid are your actions?
Being fake? Is that the right way to go?

How I feel and why I hate you

Stop talking about me
You don’t even know me
Stop talking about my friends
All you’ve done is reiterate rumors and junk

If you’ve never held a conversation with Aliyah, commented a real opinion onto Guruji’s blogs, connected with fpooned or his antics,

then make like a tree and get the hell out.

Kay.
Thanks.
Bye.

  1. Sorry~

I wrote on impulse and didn’t revise or check.

And now i get to go visit my grandparents! WHEE.

    Take care. Please comment.

  2. ” 2) Making blogs idolizing other figures”

Professing love to my dearest does not fall under that does it?

    ;_;

Well, I wanted to make a blog addressing this a while back but I was afraid people would say

“OMG Guru, you just want to be popular”

You know how n00bs are in this world xD

  3. Imppala said: “For me, its a simple rule. SO long as it pleaseth me, i do it. Screw what people think.”

Agree, but sometimes you have to know there are space for all things.

    Fadox~

I’m guilty. I made one entire blog about the awesomeness of SilverFx. xD

But, you know, it gives some people the vicarious pleasure to laugh at the ‘popular’ people. It’s just like how people read the Entertainment section of the newspapers/magazines for the scandals. Then they can pat themselves on the back and say, ‘Well, I am in no way popular like that so-and-so, I probably wouldn’t do something like that, so aren’t I better?’

  5. Complimenting those they do not know -> nobody really knows eachother in the beginning.

And yeah i agree with you that lately lots of people write blogs just for the likes. For example Ciara00 ( i don’t know why but her name pops up right just randomly)

and you can still be popular and have a healthy life with friends. but yes most people who are popular, just live to be popular.

hmz this reminds me of something. . . i think we had a discussion about what popularity is when i was still going to hs.

  6. really?

i was typing in that blog: you forgot indigolove when i had to log off

    wow how ironic

    well either way indigo

i am getting pretty tired of those blogs

i was originally gonna say: stop writing these! there are enough already

looks like someone agreed with my opinion though o.O
