A Maple Tragedy :: identity [1; new]

The following story consists of fake names to cover the real identities each role is based on. All names used are not of my own and are simply made as a scapegoat. Use of a particular name is purely coincidental.
However, the story, the feelings, the drama, the love and hate were all real and existent.
So this is my tale.

Well, where do I pick up unraveling my story?
Ah, by the way, you –will- need to have read the prologue to understand this. (Unless you like to be utterly confused and try to figure things for yourself, which I guess is okay too.)

Anyways, I think I’ll go on with the last person, who became my Pandora’s Box. Once I met him, my attitude about people completely changed 180 degrees.
I strolled through Kerning, looking as if I wanted to join a PQ but really had no intention of. I was finally free from Chiihiro at the point as he was watching some sort of sports broadcast and neither Starrzz nor SanoSan were on, so I wanted to relax and talk with some strangers for once. I was that kind of person, always trying to be independent, although I really do rely on Chii so much.
As I sat down on the Kerning steps, facing and admiring the bustling crowd who was chattering so much, my own feeling of slight loneliness was disappearing.
However, my head lifted to the sight of a particular assassin. Well, how could I not notice him? He generally stuck out with that certain attitude his stance displayed from him. He had one of the haircuts that became recently available at the time, the black hair with the long bangs curving to make sort of these fantasy-like spikes. Even his outfit was of the NX label sporting a green hoodie and some faded bellbottoms. He was leaning against the sewer grate, and I was compelled to talk to him, like the small crowd that he had also drawn, and was talking to at the same time with a smile.
As I peeked to the very front, he slightly shifted at me and smiled, giving a small comment that was more forward than I expected as he eyed my red curls pulled back with matching red bows, “Hey there cutie, love your look. I’m Calyps0.”
“What are you talking about?! You look so much cooler!” I ended up blurting out, wanting to be forward and befriending him sometime, “..Oh! And the name’s CharcoalWings!”
He laughed, and I did too. We got to talking more as he eventually started to solely talk to me as we exchanged buddy requests and fame and talked about things around the Maple Story world. It was nice to finally make a friend as cool looking as this as I –adored- guys with haircuts. Finally, he brought up the question…
“Will you be my girlfriend?”
“I mean, on Maple Story of course,” he added.
I merely eyed him, thinking that I really didn’t expect to start dating on Maple Story, but soon replied with a small smile and a “Sure! <3”

Of course, to be honest now that I look back… I never really did think of him more than a mere friend. Not even really a best friend. I didn’t like his interests too much, and talked about nothing that great or did nothing that great. But he was my first MS boyfriend, and he pampered me and told me sweet things, and for the small essence of fake happiness that I received, I thank him for that.

The days went on like that. I kept training with Starrzz and SanoSan, goofed off with Calyps0, and mostly just inched my ways onto late level 25’s. Chiihiro, on the other hand, wasn’t interested in making friends. All he wanted to do was get to know the guys to give him free stuff, then go about leveling, which he did. As I neared thirty, she was already at mid thirties, to strong to hang with “the quartet” anymore.
I remember distinctly that I was in the Orbis tower at the time. Everyone was raving about the release of guilds. I was interested, but remember, I still preferred working alone. However, my buddy chat became spammed with a message of urgency…
“I’M STARTING A GUILD!!!!!!!!!111”
Starrzz was the sender, and soon he sent a private whisper to me, “Charcoal, do you want to join?!” I could feel his excitement, and I was gaining some as well.
“Of course! If it’s alright, I will!”
“HEX YEA UR INVITED!”
I couldn’t help but squeal for joy. I’m going to be in a guild. You have to understand that once Guild options became available, that was HUGE! You were thought to be godly if you were in a guild!
Another message onto the buddy chat, “MEET IN ORBIS GUILD HQ IF UR COMING!!!!” I immediately started up the floors, jumping over the sentinels.

I soon found a small group already there. Of course Starrzz was jumping around excitedly, and so was Chiihiro and SanoSan. I was excited, it was like an official form of friendship to be in the same guild as these three.
“We’re waiting for one more person” Starrzz announced, too eager to begin talking to Heracle about guild plans.
SanoSan looked up with a quiet concern, “But don’t we need one more person after that?”
Chii smiled and bounced around, “OH YEAH! We need six people to make the guild! We only have five!”
After a small silence of all of us thinking of someone to invite and Starrzz spamming his latest tragedy into buddy chat, my eyes popped open. “OMYGAWD! LET’S INVITE CALYPS0!”
I looked around, I hadn’t really introduced Calyps0 to them formally, although they knew that we were dating, and added a “pleaaaaasssee” to the silence.
Without getting consent, knowing that we were desperate anyways, I messaged Calyps0 the good news. He gave an equally excited “YEAAAAAA” and ran to the Orbis ship.
“He’s coming back from Ellinia, so it might take a while” I blurted out. Everyone nodded in agreement as a stranger walked in, giving Starrzz a big welcoming smile. Apparently he was our fifth member, and knew Starrzz in real life. He seemed nice in personality, but I could tell… that he was a stranger and would remain a stranger.
The five of us mingled around a bit, excitement hanging in the air, and a bit of disappointment coloring it. We were all waiting for a sixth member, and all tired of it. “SDLKF! I MISSED THE SHIP!” I heard a whisper. It was Calyps0’s.
I sighed and pleaded them to be patient… However, all of a sudden I heard a cocky voice boom in. “Hey! Starrzz!”
…Who… was this?
Starrzz smiled and greeted the warrior who walked in with a rude kind of pose who continued saying, “I’m here to join your crew, everyone!”
I simply eyed him. Calyps0 was coming to join the guild.
“Sure,” Starrzz smirked at him with thanks.
I gave a blank stare… “What about Calyps0?”
There was hesitance and a moment of silence, and Starrzz only looked at me and said, “Sorry.”
I blinked. This wasn’t fair. This guy’s a jerk and…
By the time I lifted my head already, Starrzz was talking to Herald and asking the group, “Hey!! What’s a good guild name?”
I turned away and ignored everyone’s now excited yells as I whispered Calyps0 back, “Sorry. We just filled our guild up. We don’t need you anymore.”
“…” He swore and cussed.
“Sorry. Maybe when we expand.”
“…It’s cool. I’m going to join another guild anyways.”

On that day, we formed the alliance with our friendship labeled the “OneWinged” guild.
The result later on was in fact a silence and a broken group of friends.
