Seasons III

When the time finally comes, a slow two days later, Gale and Dust have everything packed and are waiting at the cliff side path along with other children. Another classmate, a tall and buff boy by the name of Hurri and a shy girl by the name of Flake, one level younger then them. They’re awaiting a guide from the east to escort them to school, and are saying their final good byes to their families.

Gale, having already said his good-byes to his mother, sits on a rock outcropping watching everyone else. Dust is confirming with his parents about how he will send mail, and how he will be careful. Gale silently chuckles at this, possibly out of jealousy. Flake, hiding behind her books, stands close to her mother, and Hurri, sitting on his books and lying against the rock wall, snores. Quite loudly.

In due time, the guide arrives. He’s a darkish shorter old man, with dull gray fluffs of hair and an old oak walking stick. He is dressed in multiple layers of coats and scarves, obviously not being native to the area. As he beckons, parents say the last of their advice, and everyone else takes off to follow the old man up the steep cliff road. (Hurri is awoken by his father, a swift punch in the shoulder.)

In a few minutes they crest the cliff, and take their first few steps to the east. Gale takes a last look at his village. “It’s quite small from up here” Dust whispers to Gale, obviously sharing his field of vision. “It’s always been that small, we just need to get away from it to realize” Gale coolie replies, turning back around to follow the older man. The area is still covered in snow, with jagged rocks spurting out from the cliff side. They walk down the noticeable decline, and as they near the first set of rocks, four humanoid shapes walk out from behind it, carrying long pointed objects and dressed in a tan outfit, with arrows strapped to leather belts around their torsos. The object they hold is a small handheld crossbow, and a small jagged end for close quarters combat. The guide says his first words, slightly inclining his head backwards “Do not be alarmed” He starts, with a calm deep voice, reminding Gale of toasted almonds. “They are simply guards for the journey, as it has gotten much more dangerous over the year.” Flake tightens her grip on her books, and Hurri lets out a slow quiet chuckle, which the guide ignores. “We should press on.” Says the elder man, starting his pacing again. The guards take positions on the corners of the party.

Only the sound of crunching snow marks the party’s passage into the Forest of Shards

Yeah. So I promised that there would be a big event, but then again, it’s THREE IN THE MORNING here. I got back from work an hour ago. Yeah. I was working till 2am. I started at 5pm. Im pretty angry, to say the least. But that’s not the point.

Erm.. I realized something. You (the readers) have NO IDEA what any of my characters look like. O.O

So here I go:

Gale: Messy dark brown hair, deep green eyes, a very bony face, with emphasis on the cheeks and chin, and roughly 5’4”
16 Winters old.

Dust: Short blond hair, brown eyes, and an ovular face. His hair tries to cover his eyes. Roughly 5’2”

16 Springs old.
Flake: Long blonde/red hair, vibrant blue eyes, and a well balanced face. Roughly 4’ 11”

14 Winters old. (She skipped a grade)
Hurri: Short black hair, brown eyes, very round face; almost no neck. Roughly 6’

16 Summers old.

Yeah… I’ll get into more detail as I reveal more of the characters and their personalities.

I think Im ganna go on MS for a bit now…. >.> I promise a big event (excitement!) Next episode. >.>
