Maple Crossbow

I was just on Maple Story over this weekend, maybe sometime the past Saturday, May 19…and I decided to scroll my Maple Crossbow, which is … or was, should I say?…60 attack. Instead of just doing my usual lucky 60% scrolling, I decided to take it a step further. I was dirt poor anyways, with just 2 mil left over altogether, give or take, and I went free market hopping.

Eventually, I found a shop that sold a 10% Crossbow Attack scroll. 200K was a pretty okay deal, but I swear, I was dirt poor there, and I didn’t want to waste my money. In fact, I didn’t get the scroll until I passed by the shop for the exit. Then I decided, “What the heck, what have I got to lose?”. So, I got it and scrolled. And lo and behold, it worked.

I could’ve SWORN my eyes were playing tricks on me. I’ve done numerous 10% scrolling, and none of them have worked before. My scrolling expertise is in 60%. Barely miss on those. But I checked my Crossbow…and it did work! I was so ecstatic, so happy, so excited that I started spamming in my buddy chat. My friends started congratulating me like crazy after asking for the stats of it (65 ATK, 1 DEX, 3 ACC, 7 Speed, 6 slots), and one even called it godly. Is it even godly?

Anyways, I thought it was just pure dumb luck. So…being the stupid idiot I am, I went looking for another one. I bought this one for about 500-600K. Then I got out of the Free Market, and went into town (Orbis). I stopped next to the potion shop, and I made a bet with myself…if it works, blah blah blah. The usual stuff. So I got ready to scroll. Counted to three, clicked, dragged, boom. It worked. So, I started spamming again. Right now, it was 70 ATK, 2 DEX, 6 ACC, 7 Speed, and 5 slots. And I got another godly statement from my friend (ShinobiSinX).

Well, a few minutes later, I asked my friend for his 60% Crossbow Scroll he got. I gave him my 9 DEX Sauna Robe and the Eos Tower Scrolls to get him out of Omega Sector. And I scrolled it right on the spot. I was so stupid, I should’ve gone to Ludi before scrolling it. Almost all scrolling I do in Ludi works. Or maybe it’s just a preference. Anyways, it failed, bringing it down to 4 slots.

When I went to Ludi, I started to Party Quest. A party member of mine had a 60% Crossbow Scroll, and I traded my Rower (71 ATK, clean) for it. Maybe it was a rip-off, but I really didn’t care. And whaddya know, it worked. So much for the 100% success for 60% scrolling in Ludi, eh? Anyways, it upped my Crossbow’s stats to 72 ATK, equal to the last Maple Crossbow I had, minus the extra accuracy, dex, and slots.

Now I’m selling it on BasilMarket, for 15 mil. Any advice on what price range it should be in? I have a bidder who’ll buy it for 15 mil, but I’m thinking of deleting the auction and selling it in June, after the event has ended, since I hear the prices will be going up.

Btw, will anyone be as kind to give me a rough estimate of the price of my Crossbow? It’s currently 72 atk, 2 dex, 7 acc, 3 slots.

no pics, sorry.

  1. Wow nice scrolling luck! xP I wish I had the same luck as you. – -”
By the way, Welcome to MMOTales!

  2. HOLY.

You had 1% of getting 2 10% working in a row.

    Holy. . .

It’s close to godly, if you can get 3 more 60% scrolls working, it’ll be godly.

I’ll estimate a good 18 million, 25 million if you can get all of them working. . .

  3. The best scrolling I have ever done in my whole life was scrolling some lvl 20 2-hand axe with 3 10%. Sorry, I can’t help you with the prices, but you should finish scrolling the crossbow with 60%, but if you dont have enough money just use 100%. Its fine to do that since 2 10% already worked

  4. woooot! lmfao. lesse. 2 10% worked, 1 60% failed, 1 worked, 3 slots, 2 more to go, I CAN DO IT! XD

  5. I suggest keepin it for now. CLean maple stuff are normally worth a lot after events. Something that well scrolled, ?

  6. well, maybe suggestions. i dunno. ’cause i tried selling on basilmarket. someone named sanx offered 15 mil for it. i deleted the auction, decided to wait til after the event.
