As Good as a Requiem

I don’t exist
where you reside
My lack of existence
pains me inside.

I see myself
with you in my arms
Only to wake up
and hear the alarm

Where are you?
Where am I?
I wish to know
Before I cry

Cry forth tears
Then cry your name
While destiny jeers
As it plays this game

A sadist at best
That which controls our fate
Leaving hearts at unrest
As it closes the gate

Gates that led to dreams
Now bind me to Earth
Love as it seems
Now turns me to dirt.

All I ask for
Is to be with you

~Guruji

I love you ‘Liyah

  5. Requiem is the song of God’s workers.
And very ironically, your poem is similar to some of the song. Translated, of course.
And the person in question is God and his holy matrimony.
    Wow.
