How It Began [Prologue]

Hey,

Greenday here. Just wondering if I should post a blog. And I finally decided to write it. -Dramatic music-

Anyway, I was staring at my screen wondering what’s in store for me today. Spammings from Anni? Oh yeah, and, a bit of advice. NEVER, and I mean it, NEVER ever try to spam Anni. She lagged my whole comp! -curses under breath-

Then, I messaged Ganz, and he told me that Silver might be on in Aquilla. So, with renewed hope, I clicked on Maplestory, holding my breath as I logged into my account.

—/find silverfx…

SilverFx is at Aquilla 3.

Yay! I cheered. Yeah, I finnaly succeeded. God! And, we talked about stuff like… School? Relationships? Oh yeah, and I died several times due to the Axe stumps.

Silver also pointed out that Short-forms are good when typing while cornered by… Monsters. And unfortunately, while trying to type a LONG sentance, I was murdered by an Axe stump.

Okay.. I guessed that probably summed up my Maple day… I guess anyway. Then.. now.. Onwards to the main Course! The Fan-Fic I was hard on work on for a few days.

How It Began [Prologue]

The hunter grunted as he darted in the shadows, carefully avoiding branches that might make any sound in the silence. A drip of water falling onto the ground broke the silence. He glanced above him briefly. Dark clouds were now releasing their burden against a backdrop of cackling lightning and rolling thunder. His grip on his Olympus Bow tightened as he checked his quiver. It was filled with arrows. Bronze arrows, to be exact.

It is time.

He crouched down low, and ran swiftly and silently towards a flicker of light in the distance. A grunt in the distance make him halt suddenly. His eyes widened at the sight of a few ribbon pigs.

‘Why do they have to come out at this time?’

He stopped, removing two arrows from the quiver, took aim, and let the two arrows go. The arrow hit the target right on the stomach. The ribbon pig squealed, and charged wildly into the forest. The others snorted with fright and fled.

He took a fistful of sand and let it slowly slip through his palm. ‘Good wind… It won’t oppose my shot.’

He then crouched down again, making sure that his Polyfeather hat remained sheltered by the foilage. A wrong move can cost his life.

After a few minutes, he reached his destination. He scanned the area carefully and reached for his arrows. Suddenly, he heard footsteps. Acting on instinct, he lied down flat, hardly daring to breathe.

‘I saw a flicker of movement here just now.’
‘You must be mistaken. Nobody, not even a wild animal can enter without triggering the traps.’
‘I’ll take your words for it, then. Let’s continue the patrol.’

The patrol moved away and he slowly got up, while reaching for his arrows. He nocked an arrow, then let it go. It flew through the air, and pierced through a tent flap. He waited for any reaction. Nothing.

The tent flap immediately opened, and a fairy got out of it. She gazed at the exact place where the hunter was hiding.

The fairy raised her hand in a spell gesture, and immediately, he felt himself raise up into the air. ‘What the-‘

‘Pitiful mortal. You think you can kill me with just a mere arrow?’ Kriel demanded.
‘It could,’ the hunter answered plainly, an expressionless mask over his face.
‘Sorry to break it to you then. It can’t. I’m not as weak as a human like you. Now tell me, do you fear death?’

He gazed at the fairy, his maroon eyes seemed to sparkle. ‘No. I do not fear death. I know that this is a death mission,’ he answered. ‘I’m prepared for it.’

‘A noble speech. But you are a disgrace to us. To think that we have to share a land with such… Immoral beings. It’s a disgrace,’ Kriel said, her face twisted with disgust. ‘You do not even deserve to be living.’ She spat out the words with disgust.

The hunter managed a laugh. ‘We may be pitiful, but we definitely have honor. Not like you-‘

‘Enough. I have wasted a few minutes of my life to talk to you. I shall not waste anymore of my precious time.’ Kriel lowered her hands and the hunter fell to the ground, landing with an awkward bump.

Kriel immediately sent two fireballs at his chest and the impact knocked him a few feet away, before bursting into flames. She smiled.

‘We shall attack at dawn. Let no mortal survive. Find them all and kill them. Nobody is to be spared.’

Dawn would come. But would it ever end?

Well, that’s the end. And don’t worry, I would continue it… Counting by the response? . Anyway… Hope you enjoyed it.
