Chronicles of Maplestory (Chapter 6)

Ya ya. Got my will to write again. After being hacked. And I got banned. Yep. BANNED!!!!!! For the time being anyway. My account is restricted. Now all I can play is Rakion. And Gunbound. Man, this sucks. But anyway, here is Chronicles of Maplestory, Chapter 6. Hope you like it.

Here’s something you might like, to all Southpark lovers.

Anyway, here goes nothing!!!!!!!

“Are we dead?” A small voice said and I regained conciousness. I staggered up to my feet as I scanned the surroundings. We were behind some boxes. It was still dark, but under the dim moonlight, I could see the GMs.

“Shhh…” I muttered quietly before covering my Black Seraph cape over her. It disguised us perfectly in the surrounding.

“They’re not here.”

“But we saw the windows opened. That’s the only way.”

“They could have died.”

“Smart but dumb. We will see their corpse, stupid.”

“They must still be around here. Continue your search! Meet here when you find anything. Contact me if you see anything.”

I heaved a sigh of relief. I slowly uncovered the cape, trying not to make any noise. I fumbled my hands in my pockets and took out a return scroll. Yuko stared at it.

“Don’t you know what a return scroll is?” I asked in disbelief.

“Nope… What’s it do?” She asked.

I raised an eyebrow. “Never mind. Dosen’t matter now.” I gripped her hand and she pulled it back.

“Sorry, but I need to be in contact with your hand before I can get you to town.” I said.

She didn’t seem to understand but reluctantly let me hold her hand and I whispered the incantation. A blinding flash of light lightened the surroundings and we dissapeared.

The GMs immediately turned their heads over. “They’re there! But they used a return scroll. Judging by that light… it seem to be a return scroll to a town.” 1 of the GMs said.

“Than that makes it harder.”

“But that also makes it more interesting…”

We landed on rough ground and she groaned. I landed on my feet due to my swift reflexes. “You okay?” I asked. She nodded.

“Sorry to bring you into this..” I said. ” I’ll need to go before I get you into more trouble.”

She looked at me and shook her head. “No. Don’t. I can’t even protect myself…” She said. I sighed and sat down beside her. “You’ll have to get a job to protect yourself. I can’t always be here to help you.” I said.

“N-No. I don’t want a job. I’ll rather stay a begginer.” She stammered.

“But why? You’ll need to protect yourself. I can’t stay with you everyday.” I said as convincing as I could.

“B-Before my mother d-died, she told me never to become any job, because power is the r-root of evil.” She said, sobbing slightly.

Her words shocked me. I never really thought of this. But her mother is right. Power is the root of evil.

“But you’ll need to protect yourself.” I protested.

“No. I shall listen to my mother.” She said determinedly.

“But I have to go now. I cannot get you into more trouble.” I said.

“What about I go with you?” She asked timidly.

“Huh? But you’re looking for your death.” I answered.

“I don’t have any relatives here. Not even a friend. Please…” She pleaded.

“Alright, alright. But I’ll have to tell you what’s going on first.” I said.

She nodded thankfully. I told her everything that had happened and she didn’t seem to get bored.

“…So that’s what happened. Now I want to find out who that Hermit is and why did he know my name. I’ll have to follow him. Than I must try to get back the 2 Jewels.” I said, concluding the story. She nodded excitedly.

“Will we go tomorrow?” She asked.

“Yes yes. But we need some sleep now. There isn’t any Inn here…” I said looking around Perion. “We’ll just have to sleep here.” I said as I took out some of the Slime bubbles I collected and placed it on the ground.

“Sleep. You’ll need energy for tomorrow.” I said as I laid on my bed and stared up at the stars.

The stars looked so nice… A glimmer of hope in a lost world….

The songs of the dead are the Lamentations of the Living.

I fell asleep repeating that sentance to myself. A scurrying sound woke me up. I glanced up. I saw somebody coming up the ropes.

“They’re there! I see them!”

“Shh.. Not so loud. You might wake them.”

“GMs!” I thought as I gripped Yuko and shook her.

“Quick! We need to get out of here!” I said as I dragged her towards the edge of the cliff.

“This is getting too often.” I thought as I jumped down with Yuko screaming.

As long as you’ve completed a few moments of your life, you’re old enough to die.

I glanced down. Nothing to break our fall.

“Is this it? Where I die? That’s good. End of all my misery.” I thought as I glanced down.

Giving up so easily? That’s not the Ice I know.

“Huh? Who are you?”

You don’t need to know who am I. Just survive if you want to avenge your family.

“Of course! How could I let my family down…” I thought as I looked back down. Yuko was still screaming, but it seemed distant. All I could hear now was my heartbeat. I looked at my hands. I started to say something that came to my mind.

“Myeri… Opriyar… Ramvua!” I shouted.

Right after that, I blacked out.

~To be continued….
