We were all set now that Jenny and Niecy had moved in with the three of us. Niecy was sleeping on the extra guest bed in Pup’s room, and Jenn was sleeping in the fourth bedroom. I woke up early and rolled out of bed wiping my eyes. I walked into the bathroom and closed the door. In twenty minutes or so, I came out and got into my regular clothes. I walked outside onto the terrace and lied down on a beach chair. A few moments later Niecy came out while everyone was still asleep and sat down next to me.

“Hey Niecy, what ya doin’ up so early?” I asked
“No reason, just fell asleep early is all.”
“Hey Niecy? What were you doing all the way in El Nath again?”
“… Uncle Frank can you keep a secret?” she asked looking down
“Sure. What’s the secret?”
“Well… I ran away from home. My older brother was being beatin’ for something that I did… I couldn’t take the pain anymore, so I ran away to see my friend in El Nath but she wants there.”
She started crying a little bit. I held her close and told her that she could stay with us as long as she wanted.

Later that day I traveled to Ludibrium with Jenny and Jeremy to fight mobs or Master Chronoses. Once we arrived, Jeremy Hasted us and we sped off to the Chronoses domain. We trained and trained and trained for hours. When it came time to restock on potions, Jeremy went to the potion shop while we stayed on a high platform so we couldn’t get hurt.

“Hey umm Jenn? I am embarrassed to ask but… did you feel something when we first met?”
“… To tell you the truth… I kinda did Frankie. I felt like I had been hit by a wandering boy.” she said sticking her tongue out at me.
“That’s not what I meant… When I bumped into you I felt something special… Like we were meant to be.”
She turned away blushing a bright red.
“Did you happen to feel the same thing?” I asked nervously
“I… actually did.”
I looked over to a Master Chronos trying to come up and attack us. I jumped down and launched a Holy Arrow to kill it. It dropped a Garnet Ore and an Aqua Ore. I brought the two ores back up to the platform and handed them to Jenn.
“Wow these ores are pretty.” she said smiling
“Like us?” I asked blushing a bit
“Ummm yea… Like us Frankie.” she replied blushing back

Jeremy returned with the potions and looked at me with a grin. We packed up our items that we had found and set off for the boat. Jer held me back to ask me a question.
“Frank, do you actually have a crush on Jenny?” he asked looking at me with his right eyebrow lifted
“No! What gave you that idea!?” I blurted out
“Never mind… forget I asked then.” he walked away with a smile of disbelief upon his face
“At least… I don’t think I do…” I said to myself

We arrived back home about one hour later. We unpacked and sat down on the couch to rest our feet as we watched the Henesys Evening News. Jeremy was in the middle and noticed that Jenn and I kept glancing over at each other every so often.

It was night now and everyone was getting ready for bed. Jer was passed out on the couch, Jenn was already fast asleep in her bed, and Pup and Niecy were having a pillow fight.
“I got you Pup!” Niecy yelled
“Pfft, you did not!” she snapped back
I walked in the room with two pillows and threw them directly at their faces. Then collapsed on there beds and got ready to throw one at me. I caught it though and told them to go to sleep. They awed and turned over in their beds. I walked downstairs and covered Jeremy with a blanket. I whispered “Goodnight Buddeh.” as I left the room. I stopped in front of Jenny’s bedroom doorway and glanced over at her. I thought to myself for a split second and shut the door.
