[FANFIC] Tree of Eternity PROLOGUE

The Tree of Eternity

The Tree of Eternity stood strong somewhere, deep in the forests of Ellinia.

As it grew, ages and eras passed by

And as it grew, so did the two Immortal Creator Beings

The Keeper

and the Shadow Weaver

The Keeper sang a song of life, one that granted the Tree strength, and through it, created the world we know today

The Shadow Weaver, jealous of the Keeper’s song, sought to annihilate everything in existance

As the Tree grew, the island of Ellinia grew too, and eventually, lifeforms appeared

Thus began the Age of Evolution

First came the snails, then mushrooms, then pigs, and slowly all the creatures we know today began to make their homes on Ellinia Island.

Then came Maplers

The creatures were innocent, kind and friendly. But the Maplers were capable of the most horrible of acts

The Shadow Weaver took advantage of this weakness. He secretly gave the Maplers the secret of fire, that they might eventually discover technology.

And they did.

Thus began the Golden Age of Technology

At first, the Maplers believed fire was merely a cooking tool. Eventually, they discovered they could shape metal with it.

And slowly, the five great cities of Victoria Island appeared

The decades following the rise of the great cities was filled with prosperity. Maplers and creatures lived in harmony, never harming the others.

Then

The Shadow Weaver decided the time was ripe for a revolution. He made manifest the essence of his evil, at the unsettled center of Victoria Island

He hid his cursed sanctuary deep, deep underground. He bided his time, until the Dungeon was nearly complete.

Then.

He exploded the essence of his evil.

This caused his evil to be spread rapidly to all the corners of the world

Thus began the Age of Corruption.

At first, the Maplers did notice much difference.

But the Shadow Weaver’s evil slowly corrupted all but the most strong-willed of the Maplers and creatures

The Keeper foresaw the Shadow Weaver’s actions, and made a prophecy

Each age, four mortal Maplers will be born with the power to defeat the Shadow Weaver

Thus began the Age of War.

This Age beganwith the birth of Maldran
