random faming.

Why do people randomly fame? I know I’m supposed to be thankful because it’s generally a good thing, but why?

For example, today, I got famed 3 times. Once was for a completely stupid reason.

[see screen]

EDIT(kinda): Yeah. I almost lost the dialogue. And didn’t minimize the map. Sorry about that.

Most people do it out of fun, which is fine. Er, it’s more than fine, when you’re the one being famed. It’s awesome. But in cases like mine, these people can stamp retard across their forehead.

EDIT(kinda[again]): Ack. I don’t have paint. So reference the following sections:

[Prologue: Guy comes up and says joining party, exp. Guy 2 says not experienced, only level 36. Guy says (obnoxiously, i might add) that obviously, this isn’t his first character. Fight filled with PG-13 rated words ensues. Guy asks (obnoxiously) if we (our party) think we’re all bad since we’re all level 40 and above.]

frozenglass9 (me): bad?
raibies (guy 2): yeah
[EDIT (for reals): During the “skip” I had previously put here, everyone else had written, as you can tell if you’d read the screen, that they were “real bad a**es” and such. I honestly didn’t think I was “bad”, as the idea in this situation was pretty ridiculous. I hope that makes it more understandable, SilverFx.]
me: i’m not
-More Ranting About How “Bad” Everyone Was-
xBl00dxSinx (guy) has raised your level of fame.

Yup. Strange. Yet oddly satisfying. Lol.

  1. Haha, I don’t like fame much so I made a Cleric just for defames. Of course, my Dragon Knight has 200 fame because it would be very ironic to see a level 99 character with -100 fame!

  2. Welcome to MMOtales.

I didn’t get the convo. :X But hey, why argue with fame? :3
