Hello to all MMO peeps

Hi
I just got an account here, so I guess I’ll do the preliminaries–> by that, I guess I mean I’m going to ramble on and on about myself. I knew about MMO a while ago, maybe… half a year ago? I glossed over the website..wasn’t really interested, and moved on. I started using Basil again recently, and because I found some of the threads on Basil to be amusing, I decided to come back here to take a look. I’m not a very “active” Mapler… in the sense that I don’t know about many external sites associated with MS… I don’t actively look for guides, forums, etc. so sites like these take me a while to discover. Yes, I’ve googled sites for MS before they’re usually for specific problems like “gameguard rimmong” and “Ludi PQ”.

I started playing MS in May 2006, and I go on pretty often, but it’s usually just to bum around (i.e. not training or pqing, but exploring maps where I accidentally touch monsters [skeleton fish/bone fish? :S] when I should be keeping my hands to myself). I’m writing this because I’m a slow leveler. It’s been 1.5 years and my highest lvl char is still only 57.

I guess a motivation for me to start a blog here (even though I’m not a bloggy person…tried it on LiveJournal but I found that typing this “stream of consciousness” to be a little weird) is that I’m curious about how people manage to legitly level so quickly. And rake in so many mesos. Yes, there’s the 2x EXP cards, but not everyone has NX. So what about everyone else? Partying during grindfests? Superior equips? PQing non-stop? What would you say is the most important in factor in leveling? Or is it just plain-old grinding for a hours every day? Does anybody find that grinding on the same map for hours gets to be a little hypnotic?

Now about the mesos: I’m an unfunded sin and right now I have about 12M. That’s it! I heard other people saying they easily have 20M+. Are people over-selling their items (and I guess you have to wait forever in FM to come by a buyer to agree to your price), or is the main source of income fighting easy monsters that drop the $$$?

Well, that’s all for now..if I type anymore I’d get too guilty for not writing my essay instead heh

  1. Welcome to MMOtales~

    P.S. Don’t turn into an annoying worthless blogger like me. People start to hate you.

    Yeah, you need a partner for that (;

    (XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD)

    I train slowly too. The only time I actually trained like mad was when I bought a x2EXP card, but I refused to repeat that experience again. It was fun though, cause I made a lot of friends that I still keep in touch with even now, but it was horrendous. >>; Felt like my brain was leaking out of my ears.
    So I mainly spend the time spazzing with the BL. The only EXP gain I get would be at random adventuring and questing, until I get like 50%, then I’ll start grinding.

    Doesn’t make grinding any less lousy though. >O But having a party helps.

    As for money, I’m inclined to think you need to be 1) lucky at drops and 2) good at merchanting. You don’t even need to oversell, just need to under-buy, ahaha.

    Mmkay, got to run now.
